Peter Porte is an American actor known for his extensive work on television. Porte began his acting career by a stroke of fate in grade three. Peter Porte was born on March 31, 1984, in Greenwood Lake, New York, to Paul Porte (father) and Teresa E. Bak (mother). His parents raised him in Greenwood Lake and facilitated his venture into the performing arts. Growing up in New York, Porte launched his acting career when he took part in a Christopher Columbus pageant in third grade. His mother’s Polish background influenced the costume she made for him which secured him a spot in the project.
After gaining admission into George F. Baker High School, Peter Porte continued to explore his acting skills in school productions. He graduated from high school in 2002 and joined New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where he bagged a BFA in Acting. Before acting became his major focus, Peter Porte worked as a model, appearing in Paris and Miami shows. He performed on stage with the National Company of Mamma Mia! and For the Record company. Porte made his screen debut in the 2005 TV movie University Place as Jeremy. From 2008 to 2009, he made guest appearances on four TV shows – Medium, Viralcom, CSI: Miami, and Cold Case. In 2011, Porte got his big break playing Ricky Williams in 51 episodes of The Young and the Reckless. He also appeared as Carl on Parks and Recreation.
After wrapping up his run on The Young and the Restless, Peter Porte scored a recurring role on Devious Maids as Scott. He also played a supporting role in The New Normal.
