Hacksaw Ridge stars the British-Australian actor as Teach. His next major role after the 2016 film was as the title character in 2019’s Lessons for Life with Alan Mercedes. That same year, he appeared as Neil in an episode of BBC Two’s Girl/Haji. Richard Pyros also appeared as Thomas in an episode of Fisk in 2021 before playing Zim in Holiday, a telefilm he directed. His most recent roles are in Tony McNamara’s The Great and Kangaroo Beach, an Australian animated television series targeting preschoolers.
Vince Vaughn As Sergeant Howell
The American actor plays Hacksaw Ridge’s tough drill instructor Sergeant Howell. The memorable role earned Vince Vaughn a Best Supporting Actor nomination from the Australian Film Critics Association. That was in 2017. His performance in Brawl in Cell Block 99 received the Saturn Award nomination for Best Actor the following year.
Roughly three years later, he bagged the Critics’ Choice Super Award for Best Actor in a Horror Movie. This was for his role in Christopher Landon’s Freaky (2020).
