10 Things You Didn’t Know about Micah Williams

Some people prefer a low-key life, but then they fall in love with someone in the limelight, and their privacy becomes a thing of the past. Micah Williams falls in this category; as much as he likes keeping his life away from the paparazzi, his engagement to Raven Goodwin has resulted in the public getting curious about him. He is best known for his role in the sitcom “Good Luck Charlie”, but there is a lot more to him as revealed by these facts.

1. He is engaged to one of his childhood co-stars

Onscreen romance is not something new in Hollywood. Marriages have stemmed from people being on the set together and Micah’s time with Raven on “Good Luck Charlie” has brought forth another couple. However, it is not clear if their time together on the set of “Good Luck Charlie” may have played a role in them dating. Micah played Emmett on the show while Raven was Ivy and it is the sitcom that propelled both of them to fame because it was quite a big hit that ran for four seasons. Since it ended in 2014, perhaps the actors kept in touch and found there was more chemistry even without the cameras rolling.

2. He prefers a private life

There is not much on the internet about Micah Williams apart from the fact that he is engaged to Raven Goodwin and his television credits. Matter of fact is that very few people knew they were dating since they both prefer a low-key life. However, now that he is with someone whose career seems to be on an upward trajectory, he may have to get used to the limelight, whether he likes it or not.

3. Critics think he is only marrying Raven for her money

Most people know of Raven Goodwin, but Micah Williams remains relatively unknown. Due to that, many are speculating that Micah is only marrying Raven for her fame and money. Someone commented on MTO News that Micah was looking at Raven as a lotto ticket in their engagement photos. Another said that Raven was the one paying Micah to be in the relationship. However, these may be hateful comments considering that the two lovebirds have known each other for ages.

4. His father is Katt Williams

For most children born to celebrities, their path is already cut out for them as they follow in their parents’ footsteps. Micah comes across as someone who is not ready to ride on his father’s fame and wants to be recognized for his efforts. Therefore, most of his fans may not know this, but his father is the legendary comedian, Katt Williams, whose acting career dates back to “My Wife and Kids.” Katt is multi-talented since he also is a rapper and singer too.

5. His father raised him

Maybe it is the married life of his father motivating Micah to keep his life away from the paparazzi. Katt Williams married Quadirah Locus but they divorced in 1995 but not before having Micah together. As almost always the case, the divorce was bitter, and they fought over the custody of their son. Katt was awarded full custody of Micah and perhaps not wanting Micah to grow up alone, he adopted seven other children. That is not to say that growing up with his father was perfect since Katt once was arrested on child endangerment suspicions. According to Hollywood Reporter, Katt was found in possession of stolen weapons causing four of his children to be placed in protective custody. Whether or not Micah was among them, the reports did not reveal.

6. He was recognized for an award

Les Brown advised us to shoot for the moon, and even if we miss, we will still land among the stars. Micah aimed for the moon with his performance in “The Ron Clark Story.” He did a commendable job that saw him get nominated for Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance in a TV Movie, Mini-Series or Special. The film starred Matthew Perry and was based on the life of Ron Clark, an idealistic teacher determined to make a change in a New York City public school.

7. How his acting career began

It is never too early or too late to make it in Holly wood. While some actors like Jodie Foster started their careers at the age of three, others like Morgan Freeman got their start late in their thirties. For Micah, he was only nine years old when he got his first chance to be in a film in 2000 through a small guest-starring role in “The Pretender.” The television series aired from 1996 to 2000 and ran for four seasons. Micah was in the episode titled “Rules of Engagement.”

8. His acting career may have taken a nosedive

While everyone knows Katt Williams, Micah Williams is barely known. Apart from his role in “Good Luck Charlie,” Micah’s acting career is almost non-existent. He has been cast in various other productions such as “The Office,” “Grounded For Life” and “In Justice” but it is only in “Good Luck Charlie” that he got a recurring role. Maybe the audience never liked him enough to encourage producers to make him a regular.

9. He is an overprotective brother

Although Micah was the only child of Katt Williams and Quadirah Locus, he still got to have many siblings from the children his father adopted. On Facebook, Micah revealed how much he loves his sisters. According to him, people who complain of having overprotective boyfriends should try having him as a brother for a week.

10. His social media

Micah is not attracting a huge following in his social media. On his Facebook page, the actor only has 721 followers which is a low number for a page that was created in December 16, 2010. He describes himself as a person who loves singing, playing and dancing. He is not active considering that he didn’t post anything in 2017, and only posted one video in 2018. So far in 2019, Micah has made only one post in which he is promoting Bijan Slack, a vocal coach.
