British actor Joseph Quinn played fan favorite Eddie Munson, the leader of the D& D group, The Hellfire Club, in which Mike, Dustin, and Lucas are members. He becomes the main suspect in Chrissy Cunningham’s brutal death. He then joins the rest of the gang into the Upside Down to try and defeat Vecna. Before his breakout role in Stranger Things, Quinn appeared on several British television series, including Dickensian, Howards End, and Catherine the Great.

Grace Van Dien as Chrissy Cunningham

Grace Van Dien plays the role of Chrissy Cunningham, a Hawkins High School cheerleading squad member. Chrissy, who appears as little miss perfect, is dating the most popular guy in school, Jason Carver, the basketball team captain. However, she is secretly struggling to deal with her inner demons and begins to form a bond with Eddie Munson. As she tries to purchase drugs from Eddie to deal with her personal struggles, she becomes Vecna’s first victim.

Van Dien has appeared in other projects, including her role as Brooke Osmond in the Netflix original teen drama series Greenhouse Academy and Katie Campbell in the NBC drama series The Village. She also appeared in Mary Harron’s film Charlie Says, playing the role of Sharon Tate.

Mason Dye, who plays Hawkin’s team captain Jason Carver, has appeared in several Lifetime films, including Flowers in the Attic and My Stepdaughter, before landing his role in Stranger Things. He also appeared in the film Natural Selection, Vanished – Left Behind: Next Generation, Truth or Dare and has guest roles in the American mockumentary series Review and supernatural teen drama series Teen Wolf. In Stranger Things, he plays Jason Carver. The latter becomes desperate for revenge after he learns about Chrissy’s death and starts a hunt for Eddie Munson and the members of The Hellfire Club as he becomes convinced that the group is a satanic cult responsible for his girlfriend’s death.

Eduardo Franco as Argyle

In season 4, Jonathan Byer makes a new friend through stoner pizza delivery driver Argyle after they relocate to California with Eleven. Argyle is played by Eduard Franco, who had appeared in several films, including Booksmart, The Package, The Binge, and Queenpins, as well as the mockumentary series American Vandal. Argyle keeps most of the scene light with his chill vibe and plays a vital role in rescuing Eleven as the designated driver of the California crew using Surfer Boy Pizza’s delivery van.

In an interview with The New York Times, he shared how things have changed since joining Stranger Things, saying, “To be a part of something this massive was overwhelming, and I hope people can accept my character as a new guy in the show. I hope he does serve his purpose as a breath of fresh air from all the crazy madness.”

Jamie Campbell Bower as Peter Ballard/ Vecna/ One/ Henry Creel

Playing a significant role as the main villain for season 4 is Vecna, played by English actor and singer Jamie Campbell Bower, who is not new to supernatural projects, having appeared in The Twilight Saga, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Harry Potter, and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Being the most significant twist and back story to the season’s plot, he appears as a caring staff at Hawkins Lab. Still, he has a secret agenda as he uses Eleven to help him unleash his powers, leading to the brutal death of the other children and staff at Hawkin Lab and his true identity being unraveled. In an interview with Variety, he talked about the process of getting into character and shared, “I came in in character, wearing the character, so I’m sitting in the makeup chair very still, not really talking to anyone. Music is a big help for me. I find it to be a very visceral experience.”

Robert Englund as Victor Creel

As Nancy investigates Chrissy’s death, she discovers Victor Creel, a man whose family was murdered in 1959 in the same manner as Chrissy’s brutal death. This leads to Nancy and Robin visiting Creel at the Pennhurst Mental Hospital, where Creel shares that his family’s death was caused by something supernatural. Victor Creel was played by Robert Englund, who is no stranger to the horror and supernatural scene as he played Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street film series, making him an iconic actor in the horror film genre.

In an interview with Collider, he shared how he did not actually have to act blindly due to his makeup. “I was essentially blind in the makeup. I had a pinhole that worked in one eye but no peripheral vision, and it was very, very dark, and if I moved at all, sometimes the makeup adjusted, and I couldn’t see at all, so I did not have to act blind,”, Englund shared.

Tom Wlaschiha as Dmitri Antonov

A character who caught our attention with his character development is Dmitri Antonov or Enzo, who formed a friendship with Hopper as he was detained in Russia. When he becomes a traitor and is imprisoned with Hopper, he teams up with Hopper to escape and stay alive. He is played by German actor Tom Wlaschiha, known for his roles as Jaqen H’ghar in the TV series Game of Thrones, and Sebastian Berger in the TV series Crossing Lines.

Nikola Đuričko as Yuri Ismaylov

An interesting character introduced in the fourth season is Yuri, the pilot smuggler enlisted by Enzo to take Joyce and Murray to Russia to help Hopper escape. However, Yuri ends up betraying Enzo and instead makes a deal with the KGB to surrender Joyce and Murray for a large sum of money. Nikola, a prominent Serbian actor, plays Yuri in Stranger Things Season 4.
