Believe it or not this Wrestlemania will mark the 25th appearance of The Undertaker. For those of you keeping track at home, The Undertaker is now 52 years old. Marking the 25th anniversary of Undertaker’s career at Wrestlemania, will be a historic match this year. The WWE is pitting the legend against one of the top wrestlers in the business, Roman Reigns. It means that The Undertaker and Roman Reigns will be the main event of Wrestlemania 33. Undertaker was last part of the main event scene at Wrestlemania 24 when the show took place at the same venue of the Citrus Bowl, 9 years ago.
Roman Reigns isn’t taking the match lightly either. When he was recently spotted by TMZ he said that he considers The Undertaker to be the “greatest Wrestlemania performer of all time” and that he’s training extremely hard for the match. P.S. he’s been benching over 400 lbs if that’s any indication. While many people have said that father time might be catching up to the Undertaker, Reigns isn’t buying it at all. In fact he thinks that The Undertaker could wrestle into his 80s.
I’m not sure how accurate that is but perhaps going until the age of 60 is conceivable for the “Death Maker.” Whatever happens, Wrestlemania 33 promises to have an epic main event.
