Actor Tru Valentino comes from a family of true patriots. He was born Truman Valentino in Frankfurt, Germany, on December 8, 1988. Valentino was born in Germany because both of his parents were stationed in the country at the time. However, he was raised in the United States, with his parents returning and moving to Waynesville, Missouri. Raised in Waynesville, Valentino attended the city’s high school, Waynesville High School.
He Attended The University of California
Acting came naturally for Tru Valentino, even at a young age. He loved to do impressions of cartoons and TV characters. Committed to having a professional career as an actor, Valentino chose to move to Los Angeles, enrolled, and graduated with a degree in acting from the University of California. Tru Valentino began collaborating with several improv groups at the University of California. After graduating, he began performing in local improv clubs in Los Angeles. During this time, he became a member of the Sunday School at the famous Groundlings Theatre and School of Los Angeles. However, it wasn’t until 2016 that he landed his first credit as a screen actor.
Tru Valentino made his debut in the TV miniseries My Delivery Guy. Valentino was cast as Tommy in the 7-episode miniseries. So far, Tru Valentino’s career has been defined by his voice-acting roles. His first credit as a voice actor was in 2019 when he voiced Jon and Tony on Adult Swim’s adult animated series Hot Streets. Valentino’s characters appeared in the penultimate episode, episode 9 (“Hot Street Disease”), of season 2, which originally aired on March 24, 2019.
That same year, Tru Valentino also voiced a guest character in Tony Hale’s Archibald’s Next Big Thing on Netflix. His character appeared in episode 4 (“Glide & Gobble”/“Wheelie, No Hands”) of season 1. Although Tru Valentino has yet to make his feature film debut in an acting role, he has three credits as a voice actor on the big screen. Valentino debuted in the 2021 Netflix original animated comedy The Loud House Music. The next year, he starred in the Paramount exclusive adult animated comedy Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe. Valentino voiced the Head Corrections Officer, McCabe. Tru Valentino was also part of the voice cast in the 2023 two-part direct-to-video anime-inspired animated film Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen.
