After being saved and adopted by Queen Tuya, Queen of Egypt, Moses is raised as a Prince of Egypt. However, he’s forced to run away from Egypt after accidentally killing an Egyptian. On the run, he encounters God, who orders him to return to Egypt to free the Hebrews. Besides voicing Moses, Val Kilmer also voices God in an uncredited role. Raised In Egypt, Moses found a brother in Rameses. Rameses was the heir to the throne of Egypt and Moses’ adoptive brother. Moses and Rameses shared a close bond growing up. When Moses returned to Egypt, Rameses, the new Pharaoh, was overjoyed to have his brother back. However, when Moses demanded the enslaved Hebrews be freed, Rameses was forced to refuse the request to protect Egypt’s interests. British actor Ralph Fiennes provided the voice for Rameses in the 1998 The Prince of Egypt

Michelle Pfeiffer as Tzipporah

Tzipporah is a Medianite woman who’s Jethro’s oldest daughter. Also, she later became Moses’ wife. The character is introduced in The Prince of Egypt when high priests Hotep and Huy offer her to Rameses because of her rebellion. After escaping Egypt, Moses saves Tzipporah and her two sisters from brigands. After their marriage and receiving a command from the Hebrew God to free his people, Tzipporah offers to accompany Moses back to Egypt. Three-time Academy Award-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer voiced the character of Tzipporah. Michelle Pfeiffer is known for her award-nominated roles in Dangerous Liaisons (1988), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989), and Love Field (1992). Her most recent and recognizable role is portraying Janet Van Dyne/Wasp in the MCU films.

Actress Sandra Bullock joined the The Prince of Egypt voice cast, voicing Moses’ older sister, Miriam. When baby Moses was placed in a basket on the Nile River, Miriam stayed close and followed the basket until it was seen and picked by Queen Tuya. Besides Bullock, the then 17-year-old Eden Riegel provided the voice for the younger Miriam, with Sally Dworsky original Miriam’s singing voice. With a successful acting career, Sandra Bullock needs little to no introduction. The actress is known for her roles in Speed (1994), A Time to Kill (1996), Practical Magic (1998), The Blind Side (2009), Gravity (2013), Bird Box (2018), and The Lost City (2022).

Aaron is Moses’ older biological brother, who later became his second-in-command as they took the Hebrews out of Egypt to their freedom. In the 1990s, Jeff Goldblum was known for his roles in Jurassic Park (1993) and Independence Day (1996). Goldblum also starred in The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) and as the Grandmaster in the 2017 MCU movies Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok

English actor Patrick Stewart also starred in a supporting role as Pharaoh Seti, Rameses father. Pharaoh Seti was the ruler of Egypt and ordered infanticide. However, he became Moses’ adoptive father after his wife brought him into the household. Pharaoh Seti loved Moses like a son. The last time Moses saw Pharaoh Seti was before he ran from Egypt after killing an Egyptian. Actor Patrick Stewart is famous for playing Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series. Stewart’s other notable roles include Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1994), its subsequent films, and Star Trek: Picard (2020–23).

Helen Mirren as Queen Tuya

Although the character only appears during Moses’ growing years in Egypt, Queen Tuya is important to Moses’ survival and story. As Queen, she could save baby Moses from harm after rescuing him from the basket on the Nile River. Academy Award-winning English actress Helen Mirren lent her voice to the Queen Tuya character. The four-time Academy Award-nominated actress delivered performances in The Madness of King George (1994), Gosford Park (2001), The Queen (2006), and The Last Station (2009). Her most notable role in the 2020s was in F9 (2021), Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) and Fast X (2023).

Steve Martin Voiced Hotep/Martin Short Voiced Huy

Actors and comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short voiced the palace high priests Hotep and Huy, respectively. As high priests, Hotep and Huy were advisors to Pharaoh Seti and Rameses after his father’s death. Hotep had a short and fat appearance, while Huy was tall and thin. With successful acting careers, Steve Martin and Martin Short’s recent role is in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building series.
