NCIS: Los Angeles Preview: Could Anna Become a Member of the Team?

NCIS Los Angeles

NCIS: Los Angeles returns tonight with a new episode. As we move forward towards the end of Season 7, each episode slowly builds upon several pieces of a larger puzzle. In past seasons the team has been faced with threats from the outside and from within. This time around the threat is an invisible shadow within the very walls of the NCIS Office of Special Projects. There isn’t enough yet known about who the threat is, but perhaps a new recurring character will be able to help.

Last year we met Anna, the daughter of Arkady Kolchek, a reformed Russian spy who considers Callen a friend. Since then she has worked with NCIS several times, most recently on a rescue mission to Russia to find her father which resulted in Callen inadvertently finding his own. Anna already has extensive training, is trusted by NCIS, and Hetty has made no secret of the fact that she’d like Anna to work for her. Not to mention, Anna is the strongest potential love interest Callen has ever had. Yet like Callen, she’s not uncomfortable with bending the rules, as will be evidenced by her actions tonight. So what then will be her path moving forward? Will she continue to work as a free agent? Is she the perfect match to Callen the way Kensi and Deeks are to each other? Will she work for, or at least assist, NCIS in smoking out their mole? Time will tell.

When a convicted Cuban spy escapes U.S. custody just before he is set to return to his country in a prisoner exchange, the team is shocked to learn that Anastasia ‘Anna’ Kolcheck (Bar Paly) helped him break out. Also, LAPD Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) admits to NCIS Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) that he thinks she is too messy.

Tune in tonight for an all new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles.
