This is Why Elon Musk Isn’t Bathing at the Present Time

Elon Musk has done some odd things to date but not bathing is one that’s kind of hard to believe. His company, Tesla, has been falling behind as of late and has been making investors worry when it comes to the number of cars they’re putting out and the price of their stock that is going down and only regaining about half what it lost so far. To Elon Musk this means that he has to be on site at all times and ready to go whenever possible. But something seems to indicate that his words are either being taken out of context or that a case of extreme exaggeration is in play.

For one, not bathing around a job where you deal with people all the time just isn’t a possibility. The human body sweats, secretes, and begins to stink after just a day of doing medium to hard labor. Now if Musk isn’t doing that kind of hard labor, which is highly possible, he’s still working his butt of trying to make things run faster, smoother, and more efficiently so that the numbers the that Telsa needs can be reached. Even then he’d start to smell a little gamy. So not taking a bath would be believable, but not stepping into the shower for a quick spritz is unlikely, especially for a CEO that needs to be seen as the professional face of the company. After all, deodorant, cologne, and body spray can only take a person so far before they start to smell like the entire aisle of scents in a supermarket. Plus the idea of a CEO taking a vacation during a crisis is in fact intolerable as Musk seems to allude to, but simply going home to rest is probably the best option after a while. Resting on the floor of the plant is not only ill-advised, it would violate a lot of safety regulations that are set into place for a reason.

So his words stating that he feels it might be necessary to stick around the place while it’s in a crisis could mean that he’s lounging on a couch in his office or going home to catch a few z’s, but most definitely not going to sleep on a hard floor and then waking up with all kinds of neck and back problems the next day. Sorry, but the moment a person can point out a CEO that might suffer through this when they likely have an opulent home to go to and possibly an office that they can sack out in is the moment that people can start believing in that CEO’s are fully ready to look and feel like well-trod trail dust the next day. That’s just not happening no matter how it might sound in the link.

Musk has proven he’s kind of an oddity in many ways, but this one just wouldn’t happen no matter what. He wouldn’t be allowed to sleep on the plant floor, and he no doubt wouldn’t go more than a day without showering. It’s unsanitary for heaven’s sake.
