For fan of Big Brother, summer is a time to never leave the house. With 3 hours of programming on CBS, an after-dark show each night on Pop, and access to 24-7 feeds, fans of the reality series can watch all day long. In the 18th season, Big Brother continues to be a popular guilty pleasure. This season included the return of 4 past houseguests. One of those is Nicole Franzel, who played during the series’ 16th installment. The nurse from Ubly, Michigan could be this season’s winner. Here is why we think Nicole may be $500,000 richer in September.
1. Nicole has played Big Brother before
Nicole already has the edge over 12 other houseguests, as she has played Big Brother in the past. Though James, Da’Vonne, and Frank returned as well, Nicole knows what it is like to be booted from the house twice already and has more to prove. She, James, and Frank all placed 7th during their seasons and have the same level of game play under their belts. However, we are thinking she can pull off the victory!
2. Nicole started playing Big Brother from Day 1
In season 16 of Big Brother, it took several weeks before we noticed any strong game play from Nicole. This year with her team facing eviction, Nicole knew she needed to step things up. She made sure she was selected as the first Head of Household, a duty she would not have wanted two years ago so early in the game.
3. Nicole aligned herself with the right players
Nicole had her small alliance in Big Brother 16, however that could have been one of the reasons for her departure. I wouldn’t say Jacosta, Hayden, or Victoria were strong competitors and Christine stabbed her in the back. This year, Nicole has solidified an 8-person alliance. Being a forward thinker, Nicole created another alliance within that one to get herself that much closer to $500,000.
4. Nicole is targeting the right houseguests
Past seasons of Big Brother have featured early evictions of non-threatening competitors (Think Monet from season 12 and Joey from season 16). As Head of Household, Nicole quickly targeted Josea after she found out he was gunning for her eviction. Luckily, we got to see the self-proclaimed “Messiah” exit the show on Thursday’s first live eviction. Nicole’s other targets include Paul and Bridgette.
5. Nicole is one of the nicest houseguests
Though Josea thought Nicole was a snake, everyone else would consider Nicole to be one of the nicest houseguests in the history of the game. Other noteworthy likable houseguests include Lisa from season 3, Jordan from seasons 11 and 13, and Ian Terry from season 14. All three took home the $500,000 prize!
