As part of the first season of the show, Nikki was one of the original contestants who helped create the pop girl group Eden’s Crush. Although she didn’t ultimately make it into the final lineup, her experience on Popstars sparked a burning passion for music within her. Although she didn’t win the show, Nikki McKibbin had built up enough of a following to go out on her own and release music without the help of American Idol. Her first album Unleashed was released in 2007. This was then followed by the EP Psychotrip in 2012 as part of the group Love Stricken Demise. Then, wwo Christmas songs were recorded by McKibbin in 2007 for the album American Christmas. One was an original song called “Alone with the Christmas Lights”, while the other was a version of Vince Vance & the Valiants‘ “All I Want for Christmas Is You”.
As well as producing music, McKibbin kept herself in the public image by appearing on popular shows like Fear Factor, Battle of the Network Reality Stars, and E! Entertainment’s Kill Reality. After that, McKibbin joined the cast of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew for the second season of the show, where she received treatment for her addictions to cocaine and alcohol. She disclosed in the first episode that the mental, physical, and sexual abuse she endured as a youngster is the root of her issues. Her mother’s addiction-related death also caused her much sorrow. How Did Nikki McKibbin Die?
Nikki McKibbin passed away on Sunday November 1, 2020. After suffering a brain aneurysm, she was taken to hospital and was placed on life support. Four days later, she was taken off life support and sadly passed away. Her son, Tristen Langley, said she died in a hospital in Arlington, Texas. Her husband, Craig Sadler, confirmed the news via Facebook. He released a heartfelt statement and announced that her organs would be donated following being taken off life support. Part of his heartfelt message read: “Many of you already know something is wrong. The love of my life Nikki Sadler suffered an aneurysm on Wednesday. She would already be gone, but she’s an organ donor and has been kept on life support to make that possible. That shouldn’t be a surprise to us. Even at the end she is still giving. She was so loved that I know thousands of you will be grieving with us. There are only a few hours left for me to hold her hand and kiss her forehead.”
