Michaela Conlin is still around if you were wondering. Even if you weren’t the up and coming actress has kept her personal life on the down low as much as possible and can be assumed to be still around since she’s popped up in TV and in films in the last several years. She hasn’t been up to much lately to be honest since her most recent appearance was on Here and Now. To be quite honest she hasn’t done as much with her career as many other actors and hasn’t managed to put herself out in the spotlight in a way that makes her stand out. Yet when she is on the scene she’s easy to spot because she happens to be one of the most attractive women around. At 5’8″ and with a slim build you would think she might blend into the crowd since Hollywood is populated by beautiful women and men that every woman in America thinks of as just dreamy. But her smile, once it makes an appearance, is quite dazzling and allows her to emerge from the crowd pretty easily. Why she hasn’t been in any more big productions is kind of a mystery but that could be personal preference. After all, not all actors are bound for glory when it comes to their career and some desire a simpler life that’s spent taking the occasional role and then enjoying something a little more low-key.
She has made her appearance in productions like the Lincoln Lawyer and the TV show Bones where she was well-received but still overshadowed by the main actors. While she can stand out it’s almost as though she chooses not to most times since her place in Hollywood is set but doesn’t seem to be something she’s truly gunning for. Right now one of the biggest questions about her is whether or not she’s married or if she’s just playing the field and enjoying the single life. In truth it would be nice at times if people would at least try and give celebrities their space and realize that not every little thing they do needs to be recorded and transcribed for posterity. For instance, we don’t really need to know what they’re having for breakfast or what their opinion is on anything unless they’re willing to give it. The life of a celebrity seems like something that other folks just need to invade, perhaps because a lot of times they’re not happy enough with their lot in life, or because they can’t stand not knowing something that they deem as important.
Stars like Michaela Conlin don’t just fade away, but they do somehow manage to have a life outside of their job by not taking as many high profile roles. It might be that they try for them and dont’ get them, but it could also be that she’s more interested in living a life where she’s not hounded by the paparazzi all the time and forced to see her every secret and every move printed in the trash magazines and other publications for people to have an opinion about. It’s easy enough to ignore opinions, but for anyone and everyone to be able to pore through the facts of your life as though they’re sifting through the dumpster is kind of invasive and altogether creepy. Yet people seem to find the need for this on many occasions and don’t seem to think twice about what it means to the people they’re doing it to. The ‘hard-hitting’ news that goes on about celebrities is at times kind of saddening to see since it means that no matter what they do there’s no chance that they’ll ever be able to live a fairly calm and normal life, at least not unless they decide to give up their celebrity status.
Michaela however might be able to go out and do her own thing since her face isn’t on the big screen or even the TV all that often. Unless a fan truly knows her work and has watched her for a while she might be able to slip out and just go where she wants without a crowd of people demanding an autograph. That’s a very fortunate thing but it could also reflect negatively on her career. It might mean that she’s not deemed as worth the effort for a role in one show or another, which doesn’t seem likely, but it could also mean that she could at least go to the grocery store, grab a coffee, or do just about anything without being mobbed. Whether it’s a personal choice to not do as much or something else there are ups and downs to such status and it seems like she might enjoy the ups. To date she hasn’t been doing much except appearing on TV, but maybe we’ll see more of her in the future.
