When it comes to the best martial arts fighters in the history of martial arts Bruce Lee is usually the name that will always appear at the top of the list. While Lee was obviously known as a movie star who reached legendary status, the legend of his fighting prowess is equally as high. While much of the recollection of Bruce Lee’s fighting ability is told in stories, there are few if any videos of real footage showcasing his abilities. We’ve heard about him fighting and annihilating opponents in real life but rarely have we seen actual footage….until now.
This is the only recording of Bruce Lee in a real MMA fight. He’s fighting Ted Wong here who was one of his top students. They are wearing protective gear because they were not allowed to fight without them. Those were the state rules at the time. If not for those rules not only would Lee have fought bare knuckled but Mr. Wong would have been in some serious trouble, more so than he already was.
