When late shows go on hiatus for the weekend you can always feel comforted knowing that John Oliver will be there to save us on Sundays. Oliver was in rare form last night as he decided to completely decimate Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for a solid 25 minutes. But before that Oliver felt it was important to mention that there’s a distinct possibility that Donald Trump is naked in the White House at this very moment. He might be looking for a band aid or it’s possible he just sneezed. Oliver just wanted to remind us all that Donald Trump is indeed naked in the White House a good amount of the time that he’s there.
Anyway, let’s move on to what his real focus was on Last Week Tonight. Oliver dives into the relationship that is Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. The reality is that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner hold an incredible amount of political power. Olive thinks that’s troubling considering their incredibly small amount of political experience. And rightfully so. But wait until you see how much detail he goes into. It might scare the hell out of you.
