It’s easy to see how people fall into the stereotypes that others come to expect and take on the real-life persona that is a part of the lifestyle they’ve chosen. Young Buck, who states that he’s no longer a part of G-Unit but has apparently gone back to the group, is one such individual since he’s been living that life for a while now and has had to pay a few times for it. The legal troubles and other issues he’s been through in his time as a rapper seem to mount up every now and again and become a serious problem for him but no matter what he finds a way out of it and takes his lumps while staying on track and discovering a new way to do things. Some folks aren’t exactly big into rappers and will often ignore them and their music or simply harbor the idea that a lot of them simply look for trouble. That’s not accurate at all really, but some of them are all about that life and it shows every now and again.
Here are a few things about Young Buck you might not have known.
10. He started rapping around the age of 12.
Young Buck was one of those rappers that didn’t want to wait for anything and took off early, spitting rhymes with enough skill and passion that after a while people started noticing and he was taken under the wing of those that would eventually help him create a career.
9. Young Buck was arrested for assault at one point.
He was supposedly defending Dr. Dre at an awards ceremony when Dre was punched in the head by someone that asked for his autograph. The only problem is that the cops had things well in hand when Buck stabbed the man in the chest. Despite overwhelming evidence he was let off with probation.
8. He had to file for chapter 13 bankruptcy.
One would think that a person making as much money as some of these musicians would have no issue when it came to paying their taxes. But when the IRS actually raids your home you know things have gone from bad to absolute worst in that moment. Well, not really since they could have taken absolutely everything at one point.
7. He tried to tell those that were taking his possessions that this act interfered with his ability to make money.
Say what you will but this one almost made me laugh since the IRS decided to take his recording equipment and he tried to argue that he couldn’t pay them back if he couldn’t work. Somehow it seems that he could find another spot to work. And arguing that they were taking his kids’ toys away from them seems even more insane. What kind of toys did his kids have that were worth enough for the IRS to go after them?
6. In 2000 he was shot several times in his home and had to have a blood transfusion.
It was said that the perpetrators were looking for narcotics and opened fire on Buck, hitting him several times. He had to be rushed to the hospital where he was touch and go for a little bit.
5. He lived through a drive-by.
As Sean Michaels of The Guardian reported Buck’s ride took 11 shots and he was uninjured after the incident. He tweeted out the next day thanking God, which seems like it’d be only fitting since that kind of shootout is something a lot of people don’t walk away from.
4. It would appear that he has an issue with staying out of trouble.
Between assault charges and gun possession and other issues it would seem that Buck can’t always seem to keep his nose clean. The one thing about living that life that a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that life can still get you in a lot of trouble.
3. Young Buck and 50 Cent have had some serious issues in the past.
Thanks to Joshua Espinoza from Complex we get to see that the spat between these two is still very much alive and well and the issues they have with one another don’t seem to be going away despite the fact that 50 Cent is the one that’s responsible for Young Buck. Working at the same place you’d think that they would at least try to be civil, but that’s not how it seems to work in the music industry.
2. He’s been nominated for quite a few awards.
You can’t say he’s not talented since he’s come out with plenty of tracks and albums and been able to gain the attention of those that can help him out.
1. Buck doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that always plays well with others.
The simple fact that he’s lashed out at people he works with seems to make this point.
Being about that life is great and all, but sometimes you’ve got to step back and wonder just how great that life is if it keeps getting you in trouble.
