Eddie McClintock became a familiar face to science-fiction fans as Pete Lattimer on Warehouse 13. The Syfy series premiered in 2009 and quickly became one of the network’s most recognizable original shows, running for five seasons before ending in 2014. McClintock’s performance as the wisecracking Secret Service agent made Pete one of the show’s most memorable characters and gave the actor his signature television role.
However, Eddie McClintock’s career did not end after Warehouse 13’s final season. Over the years, he continued appearing in several projects in the small and big screens, while also exploring opportunities behind the camera. From staying active as an actor to directing films inspired by real-life experiences, Eddie McClintock has built an interesting chapter in personal life and career post-Warehouse 13.
Eddie McClintock Almost Walked Away From Acting Before Warehouse 13

Eddie McClintock’s journey to Warehouse 13 was considerably less straightforward than his eventual success might suggest. Before landing Pete Lattimer, he spent years taking guest roles and appearing in short-lived television series, including Stark Raving Mad, Sex and the City, Crumbs, Felicity, Friends, Desperate Housewives, and Bones. The actor told the Los Angeles Times in 2009 that years of canceled shows and professional disappointments had left him considering whether acting was worth continuing.
His backstory made Warehouse 13 particularly important as it finally gave McClintock a long-running television home. He played Pete Lattimer, a Secret Service agent recruited to retrieve supernatural artifacts for the mysterious Warehouse. He co-starred alongside Joanne Kelly, who played Myka Bering. The series ran for five seasons, and McClintock ultimately appeared in 64 episodes.
He Continued Appearing on Popular TV Shows

Eddie McClintock remained active on television after Warehouse 13 ended. One of his most substantial post-Warehouse 13 roles came on Shooter, where he played Jack Payne in the USA Network action series starring Ryan Phillippe. McClintock appeared throughout the show’s run from 2016 to 2018, allowing him to play a character considerably removed from Pete Lattimer’s comedic personality.
He also made appearances in several major genre shows. Before Shooter, McClintock played Vin-Tak on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2015 and Colonel James Harper on Supergirl in 2016. These roles allowed him to remain connected to the science fiction and superhero audiences who had followed him since Warehouse 13.

One of the most interesting developments in Eddie McClintock’s post-Warehouse 13 career has been his transition into directing. He made his feature directorial debut with Miracle at Manchester, a 2022 family drama based on the true story of high-school athlete Brycen Newman, who battled brain cancer. McClintock also appeared in the film as Brycen’s father, Richard Newman.
The project represented more than simply another acting credit for McClintock. In an interview about the film, he described the opportunity as a labor of love. He explained that his relationship with his father influenced the way he approached the story. His father had raised him largely on his own, and McClintock said he dedicated his successes to him.
He Returned to His Wrestling Roots With Takedown

Eddie McClintock took an even more personal approach to filmmaking with his sophomore directorial film Takedown. Released in 2024, the sports drama draws from his high-school experiences in North Canton, Ohio, particularly his wrestling background and his struggle to balance his artistic interests with life on the wrestling mat. McClintock wrote, directed, and starred in the movie as Jason Fawcett.
The project makes his career trajectory especially interesting. McClintock started out with a background in wrestling and later worked as a production assistant before establishing himself as an actor, so Takedown allowed him to bring several parts of his life together in one project. His move into directing therefore feels less like a sudden career change and more like an extension of interests he had developed long before Warehouse 13.
Eddie McClintock Still Has Active Acting Career
Eddie McClintock has not abandoned acting while developing his career as a filmmaker. Although they are mostly B-rated films, his recent credits include Conceivable, John Brown: The Advocate, We Believe, Takedown, A Life of Purpose, A Christmas Carol, Missed Opportunities, I Survived, and The Last War.
He also has a 2026 acting credit in A Paralyzing Redemption, demonstrating that he continues to take on screen roles more than a decade after Warehouse 13 ended. His recent filmography shows an actor who has become increasingly comfortable working on smaller productions while also taking greater creative control over the projects he makes. A closer look at his future projects shows Eddie McClintock also has several projects still in production.
