In the original ‘Friday the 13th’ slasher horror film, Adrienne King plays the heroine Alice Hardy. Written by Victor Miller and directed by Sean S. Cunningham, this is about a group of teenagers who are trying to reopen an abandoned campsite when they are murdered one by one. This movie was made in 1980following the success of the movie ‘Halloween’. Although it had a budget of just $550,000, this movie grossed $39.7 million at the United States box office and became a cult classic. It also starred Betsy Palmer, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, and Mark Nelson. It inspired a series of films as there are nine sequels to ‘Friday the 13th’.
