Donald Trump may be the finest example of a person who has moved into an extremely high position in the world but at the same time you get to look back at his past and say “remember that time when (fill in the blank)?” It’s kind of like if you knew someone has a kid and they grew up to be famous. You’ll always be the person who gets to say “yeah but before they were famous they were cooking burgers at McDonald’s with me” or something to that effect.
When it comes to President Trump the man who definitely has the best “remember when” story over him is easily Stone Cold Steve Austin. Anytime he wants he can always refer to the time he gave Donald Trump a Stone Cold Stunner in the ring. It’s a clip that I don’t think has gotten nearly the amount of press it deserves.
In fact I’m calling for a rule. Every single time on a Late Night show or in an article, whenever Donald Trump does something we disapprove of, this video or a GIF of this video must be inserted. No pauses. No explanation. Just, “remember that time Donald Trump got stunned in the ring?”
I’m really surprised this clip isn’t played more often. It perfectly encapsulates the true reaction we have when we hear Trump say something we don’t like. Anyway, I’m making this call right now. Let’s use this video more often. That is all.
