A woman called me at work randomly to let me know she was “in love” with my partner of 14 years. She says they had been having an affair for 4 years, he claimed 1 year. I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
She had the nerve to beg me to me to try and convince him to stay with her, as he was the only man she had ever truly loved and she was the poor victim. She called me to blow it all up because had finally ended it with her because in his words “ he didn’t want to risk losing me, the most important thing in his life” Yeah, he had 1-4 years to calculate those risks.
I immediately moved out of our home despite the pleading ,and left them to be together as they deserved each other. Alas, they did not last and I was harassed at all hours of the night and day from this woman from multiple phone numbers for a year even after she knew I had ended things with my ex and moved out. This woman was also 20 years older than me, and not some young girl in puppy love.
It’s been 4 years now, and now I’m in a loving happy healthy relationship so life goes on eventually.

Reddit, funnily enough.
The dude she was with introduced her to reddit, she introduced it to me, I looked at the history of her account, accidentally found his, and turns out he’d been bragging about his new girlfriend and how they’re going to get married and blah blah blah. Their dates lined up with a lot of her “business trips”.
Called her out, she confessed. That was that.
On the plus side, Reddit and I have been going steady for about 7 years now.

Found texts. She said it was just talk. Lol. Showed up at her work to get the proof I wanted, and saw her making out and getting ready to sleep with her manager in his car. Knocked on the window, took some pics, and went home packed all her stuff and left it outside the door with the new locks. Put a boot on MY cars tire when she got back, and told her to find a ride to anywhere but my house, and if she wasn’t gone in an hour, she’d be trespassed by the police.

I had been at university in CA and hadn’t seen my boyfriend (let’s just call him Alex) for three months, so I went back to BC to see him for holidays. He was supposed to meet me at the train station after he was done with work one afternoon, but he was stuck working late so his boss sent his daughter (we’ll call her Sara) to meet up with me.
Backstory: this was 20+ years ago, none of us had cell phones and we had all been friends in high school.
Sara and I decide to grab dinner downtown while we wait. We didn’t even get our food ordered before she tells me that she has suspicions that Alex is cheating on HER. I stay as calm as possible and start asking questions, who does she suspect, when and where he might have cheated, etc. Then she says “Since you’re Alex’s best friend, I thought you might know the truth. Do you know if he’s cheating?” So, yeah Sara, I think I might have a hunch… I tell her that Alex and I have been in a relationship for over a year and the other woman was me. I was expecting at least a drink thrown at my face at this point but she and I start comparing facts and decided to confront him when he was finished with work. Sara drops me off at another friend’s house while she goes to talk to Alex. Alex denies everything to her and they argue on their way to his house. I show up a few minutes later, grab my suitcase and head out the door, meanwhile Alex is now crying and begging me to stay, telling me that Sara is mental and obsessed with him but that nothing was happening between them. No thanks, I was finished being lied to and gaslit. I spent the rest of my holiday at my friend’s house and never saw either Alex or Sara again.

It’s also mind-boggling how some folks don’t feel any remorse about breaking their partners’ hearts as they keep this cheating behavior on a loop. Studies show that 40% of couples report infidelity. Moreover, someone is three times more likely to be unfaithful if they have done so in the past. Once a cheater, always a cheater, I guess.
Not to forget, a person is two to four times more likely to be cheated on if they have been cheated on or have suspected it in a prior relationship. I honestly can’t even imagine how much pain a person feels after being betrayed multiple times like this. I wonder how they even get the courage to trust someone again and let them into their heart.

Cheating was not confirmed, but we had gone to one of her coworkers’ birthday party one night. Making conversation with random people there, I learned that during the ~6 months she was employed there, she had been telling everyone she was single, and people at that party thought I was a guy she was just talking to, who offered to be her DD for the night. We had been together for several years and have a child together. That was enough for me and I ended things with her the next morning when she sobered up.

First inkling was when we were getting ready for bed, I’m in bed while he’s doing his thing in the bathroom. His phone rings and it’s some chick I’d never heard of. Confronted him on what the heck is that and why is she calling at this hour. Had a plausible story I was dumb enough to believe.
We were only dating and didn’t live together.
Then he went missing one day, no idea what had happened. I phoned, emailed, texted whatever means of communication I had I tried to get ahold of him.
Turns out he’d been in an accident and was in the hospital.
I found out when his GIRLFRIEND called me to let me know. She’d been to his apartment looking for him and found all my messages in his computer etc as well as some jewelry I’d left a couple nights previous.
Her and I had an excellent time confronting him together at the hospital.

Voicemail. Always check the voicemail, it’s easy to forget to delete those. Things had been off for a while, went with my gut feeling and looked through his phone. The voicemails were a last minute thought and there it was, like 3 minutes of some girl I’ve never heard of being way, way too friendly. **First clue:** She asked me to respond for her on snapchat while she was driving. After I did I innocently opened another snap from one of her friends so I could respond for her then. After I opened it I saw the message right before where she was playing off our 8 month relationship when she said “Oh we’re just a summer thing” (It was May and we had been dating since October)
**Second Clue:** At her graduation party none of her best friends even knew who I was. They didn’t know she had a boyfriend
**Third Clue:** She suddenly “Made a new friend” who she said was “In to her” but was younger so she wasn’t interested and assured me he wasn’t a threat. This person appeared more and more on her phone.
**Fourth Clue**: She suddenly wasn’t awake anymore when I would drive back home from work at 12:00AM. Usually she would stay up until 12:30 so she could talk to me and keep me awake on the road and we could fall asleep together.
**Final Clue**: I saw texts from him on her phone at the times she claimed she was asleep. Things like “I loved falling asleep with you” etc. in the morning as well.
Idk if she ever physically cheated but she was sure as hell emotionally cheating and emotionally two timing me. That’s for sure.

Not me personally, but a friend of mine found out that his girlfriend slept with a friend of hers while on vacation. He only found out because her best friend told him. When the girl learned the jig was up, she broke up with him on Facebook. Didn’t even have the guts to do it in person. The guy was devastated and ended up moving to the other coast to start over. 3am the power goes out at my job. Everyone gets sent home. There’s a strange truck in my driveway. Walked in and they’re sleeping soundly. I woke him up by tapping him on the forehead with a pistol. Told him to get out quietly. I sat on the sofa until her alarm went off, she walked her bare tushy by me and into the kitchen to make coffee. She looked outside and saw my truck parked there, spun around to see me sitting in the living room. Freaked out and got mad at me thinking I’d hurt him. I got the engagement ring back, she left for work, I changed the locks, carefully packed all her stuff, and drank beer till she got home and got her stuff and left.
