You can always rely on Stephen Colbert to be silly when it comes to Trump. But when you want great analysis peppered with some funny barbs, Seth Meyers is your guy. His “closer look” segment is kind of like a much tamer end segment that Bill Maher does on Real Time. Meyers once again went off on Trump last night. He reminds us about the past week and that even by Donald Trump’s crazy standards, this has been a crazy week to say the least.
Not that I need to remind any of you about what’s going on but let’s review. Trump fires James Comey. All kinds of stuff is out there about the Comey firing. People think it’s because he was going too far in his investigations and Trump sacked him. Trump denies this but there’s an awful lot of evidence on Russian collusion. Now we have an independent guy looking into the situation who is former FBI Director Rober Mueller who both Democrats and Republicans are confident will get to the bottom of all of this.
But obviously this is just everything on the surface. Let’s hear what Seth has to say.
