10 Things You Didn’t Know about Scooter Braun

These days a lot of people will look at those who are successful and wonder just how they got to that point, meaning did they work hard for it, was it given to them, or is there something shady in their past that we’re not seeing. When it comes to Scooter Braun it really depends on how you talk to and how they feel about the man since he’s become something of a sensation behind the scenes and a person that’s worth a great deal due to the kind of things he’s done and continues to do. It’s all too easy for those that haven’t accomplished their dreams to cry foul for whatever reason when it comes to a discussion of how guys like Scooter have made it so far before they’re 40 years of age, but unless there’s overwhelming proof that he’s done something wrong, immoral, unethical it becomes a lot of shouting that means nothing and has no effect.

Here are a few things about Scooter you might not have known.

10. He dropped out of school before getting a degree to become the head of marketing at So So Def Records.

It’s always easy for people to point the finger and state that a person who doesn’t have their education is cheating themselves, but when you look at how much Scooter had earned and what he’s done since leaving school it’s kind of hard to do that with a straight face.

9. For a while he planned after-parties following concerts and other events.

This definitely isn’t as easy as it might sound to some folks since the kind of parties that he had to plan were serious undertakings that couldn’t be left to chance and had to impress some very important people. The fact that he was doing this in his teenage years is kind of impressive.

8. He’s been able to broker some huge money-making deals in his career.

Whatever he did pick up from school has been serving him well since Scooter has shown a tremendous ability to broker high-end deals with various star and has shown the capacity to take that success and run with it for as long as he can.

7. Scooter has been a very charitable person as well.

Apart from all the business dealings and big money he’s also been the kind of guy that has given to charities and organized various functions for good causes. Just because a person is smart, rich, and earns tons of money doesn’t mean they’re heartless.

6. The estimate of his net worth is around $400 million.

If your eyes just flew wide open it’s okay, that’s for real. According to James Leggate of Fox News this guy has been working his tail off since he was in his teens and while some people are impressed by tens of millions this guy went a few steps further and started earning the kind of money that many people can only dream about.

5. His social media presence is understandably huge.

This has to be part of how he makes his living and stays relevant since social media is one of the biggest ways to put one’s voice and name out there where people can see it. There might even be a few people trying to see just how they can emulate him in some way.

4. There’s been a pretty big issue about Scooter buy Big Machine Records.

Apparently as Jem Aswad of Variety writes the biggest problem with this is that once he acquired the company he also acquired Taylor Swift’s entire musical catalog, which she has been heartbroken over since she feels that Scooter is a bully and made this deal just to humiliate her. Given that her net worth is also quite massive and that she keeps coming up with new songs however her claim might be real, but it’s hard to feel sorry for someone with that kind of money and talent.

3. He manages a few very famous people.

Scooter has signed deals with the likes of Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, both of whom stand at his side in this matter of Taylor Swift. One might want to pick sides in this one but quite honestly it’s probably best if we don’t.

2. His ‘feud’ with Taylor Swift has divided people.

Trying to figure out just which side to go with would be a massive headache for many people, but for those in the business it’s something that seems to happen in accordance with who they really care for and, when it’s convenient, their ‘principles’.

1. In 2013 he was named as one of the most influential people in the world.

Time magazine bestowed this honor upon him years ago and it was likely well-deserved regardless of what some folks might think. He might not be the favorite of every person but he has managed to contribute to society in his time.

It’s probably best to read the feud between him and Swift as news and let it be.
