Sarah Roemer was born on August 28, 1984, in San Diego, California. Initially, she entered the entertainment industry as a model, attending high school in San Diego before making the move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modelling. Her early success in the industry led to appearances in numerous prominent publications, including GQ, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, and Esquire. However, as she gained more experience and exposure, Roemer’s interests shifted from modelling to acting.
Roemer’s debut role came in the 2006 comedy drama movie, Wristcutters: A Love Story. That same year, she starred in The Grudge 2. However, both of these renditions were supporting roles and rather sparse in screen time. To that, 2007 served as her career launching year, starring opposite Shia LaBeouf in the thriller movie Disturbia. As Ashley, Roemer took on the role of a free-spirited young girl, emerging as the love-interest who quickly finds herself thrown into a murder mystery, showcasing her dynamic abilities. After this, Roemer starred in the popular teen comedy, Fired Up!, once again taking on a leading role. Sarah Roemer and Chad Michael Murray met on the set the TV show, Chosen, in 2013. With both actors featuring in lead roles, they shared a substantial amount of screen time together, allowing for their relationship to blossom off screen as well. From here, they kept their dating life somewhat under wraps, avoiding the press. Then, in 2015, they unexpectedly announced that they had wed and were expecting their first child. However, the wedding actually happened in 2014 but they decided to keep it between close friends and family to avoid news outlets trying to invade their privacy.
Today, they have been married for nearly a decade and have three children together. Their first child, a boy, was born in 2015. Their second child, a daughter, entered the world in 2017, and their second daughter was born in 2023. Although Sarah Roemer has never announced that she has retired from acting, since having children, her roles have become less and less. As of the time of writing, her last role was opposite Bruce Willis in the 2021 movie Survive the Game. She currently has no upcoming projects to her name.
