I have to admit, considering all of the insanity that came out of Rudy Giuliani’s mouth during and prior to the United States election, this might be one of the sanest things he’s said in the last year. It’s just too bad it’s a horrible thing to say. As many of you know it’s been a pretty rough week for one Carmelo Anthony. Not only does Phil Jackson think he’d be “better off somewhere else” he’s also splitting with La La Anthony. The reason? Anthony cheated on her. But there’s one guy out there who already has Anthony’s back: Rudy Giuliani. According to TMZ
The ex-NYC mayor was out in L.A. when we asked how he felt about the standoff between Melo and the NY Knicks … with Phil Jackson saying he wants Anthony off the team next year. “He’s a Knick,” Rudy told us … “Once a Knick, always a Knick.” But when we asked how fans should feel about Melo’s alleged off-the-court activity, Rudy defended him, saying, “I don’t think you judge sports characters based on things like that … otherwise you’d probably lose half of them.”
It’s a pretty vulgar thing to say, yes, but in all honesty how many players in professional sports do you think are faithful to their spouses? And another thing, Rudy Giuliani effectively admitted that he’s never once been faithful to any woman which doesn’t surprise me at all.
P.S. I really can’t stand the name Carmelo. It’s just super annoying.
