As if NFL star Von Miller wasn’t popular enough, now he’s going to be hosting a live comedy-variety show for Facebook Watch. The show has already been picked up for eight episodes which start very soon, The Von Miller’s Studio 58 show will be broadcasting directly from his mansion and will be featuring guest stars such as his brothers and some of his teammates. The show is something that Miller has been wanting to do for a while and is bound to be something that fans at the very least will want to tune in for since Miller has well over a million devoted followers on Twitter.
I’m kind of interested to know if this is bound to be just an off season thing or if Miller is going to make a go of it if these eight episodes do well. If it’s just a limited appearance then it might be really entertaining but otherwise once the season starts up I don’t see how he’d have the time. I don’t see the guy retiring just yet but I could be wrong, some guys have been bowing out early in the last few years. Von looks like he loves the game too much to just up and go home now though. This could be just a part-time thing that he wants to try and see how it goes, which honestly it could be something worthwhile.
It is pretty important for athletes to have something when they do finally make their exit from the NFL. Whatever the sport doesn’t take from them they should be able to put into other ventures and make it work for them. Like I said, this could be just a temporary thing that Miller is trying out. But if he tends to like it maybe he could something similar when the day comes that he decides to hang up his helmet for good. Right now it doesn’t seem like he’s ready to let go, and for good reason since he just made his sixth Pro Bowl appearance. in which the AFC rallied to overcome the NFC.
At this point Von seems to be having a lot of fun on the field and off of it so there’s no point debating whether or not he’s going to say goodbye to his playing days just yet. Broncos fans would probably deem it wise to at least check in and see if the show is worth it though, especially if they’re diehard fans and want to see what his comedy routine is all about. A lot of folks don’t seem to realize that football players are more than just pads, speed, power, and aggression. They’re educated individuals as well that have outside interests and enjoy spending their time away from the field pursuing things that are similar to the rest of us in many ways. Von Miller is apparently a very outgoing guy, so this show ought to be perfect for him.
