Is anyone else getting a little burned out with all the politics on Saturday Night Live? Between daily coverage on regular news outlets, the late night show coverage and the 20-25 minute rants we get from guys like John Oliver and Bill Maher, I think I’m a little burned out on political humor right now. I don’t blame SNL for hyping Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming hosting gig with a promo featuring her as Sean Spicer but I just hope that the show remembers how funny and talented McCarthy truly is.
I really don’t want them jamming Spicer down our throats too much. Granted the promo is funny and has merit, like I said I’m just getting burned out by politics. Are we all? I should think so. McCarthy is hosting the sketch show (live coast-to-coast) this Saturday, and, naturally, her promo is all about her Spicer impression. With song.
