Elizabeth and Henry McCord have been through thick and thin. The two of them have never argued to the point where it’s past the point of no return as they have always reconciled in the end despite their disagreements. In this upcoming episode of Madam Secretary, however, I fear that there will be trouble in paradise for Mr. and Mrs. McCord.
The Secretary of State is giving her first speech to the United Nations where she will condemn the terrorist group Hizb-Al-Shahid and the notorious leader of the group, Disah. Elizabeth will also discuss with the Russian Foreign Minister about forming a coalition group against the terrorist group. Sounds like a foolproof plan right? Tell that to Dr. McCord. It seems that Henry is trying to find a way to save Dmitri’s cancer-stricken sister Talia and bring her to America before she falls into enemy hands. I’m glad that the Marines motto of no man (or woman) left behind is still being taken to heart by those who have served, fictional or not.
From the ending of the promo video on the CBS website (I wish that they could make it available to everyone including Canada), the good Professor yelled angrily at his wife, which is something that we rarely see him do throughout this series. I’m not a religious person but I pray with all of my soul that both he and Elizabeth can find a way to get past this emotional hurdle together like they always have. I would hate to see them go from happily married couple who’s very much in love reduced to two strangers with brief greetings in the mornings and cold shoulders at night.
Husband and wife tension aside, I sincerely hope that Hijiryyah, now being transported to the United States, will be able to help the latter, that is, the Murphy Station team, locate her husband, seeing that the man has escaped once again after being tipped off. They have been tracking down the man long enough and it’s high time that the terrorist leader is brought to justice once and for all.
