Oh lordy, let’s not Pixar get their hands on Star Wars please. Okay I’ll concede the fact that it’s not horrible but there are a few things that need to be addressed. First of all it’s not an all-inclusive thing as you can see since those figures near the bottom portion of the poster look pretty normal. Likely as not it’s because it would taken too much work to really get into those small pictures.
Should I just go into who looks like whom? Okay then.
Poe Dameron
There’s no mistaking the roguish smile and the casual attitude that’s being flashed. Let’s just be grateful they didn’t make him do his smolder, otherwise that could have been a little over the top. But yes, Poe Dameron has been given the look of Flynn Rider from Tangled. Honestly I don’t see it, but the attitude might be on point, at least a little.
Finn
If you’ve ever watched Big Hero 6 then you should be able to identify just who they decided to put in as Finn’s stand-in. His real name is something I’m not too sure of without looking, but his nickname in the film is Wasabe, and he’s one of the superheroes in the movie. He’s a little more prudish than Finn but can still be just as heroic.
General Leia Organa
I’m kind of taking a gamble here but to me she really looks like Elastigirl from The Incredibles. With the hairstyle it’s a little hard to tell but the look seems to be pretty close to a match if not spot on. Both women are incredibly stubborn and are good at delegating, but obviously Leia is made of a little sterner stuff.
Chewbacca
Really? Remy from Ratatouille? That’s almost an insult really. Plus there are a few other characters, another in front of ‘Chewy’ that’s from Ratatouille as well, the French cook that falls in love with Remy’s human companion Linguine, and another figure that looks like, or is, Hans from Frozen.
Kylo Ren
There’s really no mistaking Hiro from Big Hero 6. Whoever did this must be a fan of that movie since they’ve used a couple of the characters at this point. But if you watch the movie you’ll see that this is undoubtedly Hiro. That wouldn’t make a lot of sense unless you take the moment he ordered Baymax to destroy the villain in the movie due to the death of his brother being so fresh in his mind.
Rey
I’ve got to say it. Rey looks like Rapunzel from Tangled. Yes I have too much knowledge of Disney princesses to be comfortable but sometimes it comes in handy. The determination and pluck is existent in both women and the desire to know who their real family is stands as a similarity as well.
Luke Skywalker
Okay, I’m drawing a blank here but something tells me I should be able to liken this character to someone else as well. I would say Carl from Up but I don’t think that would be right. It’s the best guess I’ve got however and the tragic back story of both characters isn’t that similar but both of them have seen hard times.
Back to my previous statement. PLEASE don’t let Pixar get a hold of Star Wars.
