Will Little People, Big World Come Back for Season 26

The Roloff family of TLC’s Little People, Big World is arguably one of the most beloved families in the world of reality TV. Viewers have watched the family hit a lot of milestones through the years, and have even witnessed the Roloff kids graduating from college to having kids of their own. They’ve kept the ball rolling for 18 years with family drama, nonstop relationship twists, and the biggest feud yet over the fate of the Roloff farm.

One thing’s for sure —  like most families, the Roloff family has had their fair share of bumps along the road, but they never failed to deliver some of the most memorable and iconic TV moments. The Little People, Big World Season 25 finale is certainly one to remember as it features unforgettable moments such as Matt Roloff’s surprise proposal to Caryn Chandler, and the charity fundraiser organized by Amy Roloff on the Roloff farm. However, the show’s fate has hung in the balance ever since, which is why fans are dying to know if Little People, Big World Season 26 will happen or not. Here’s everything we know about the future of the show.

Will There Be a Little People, Big World Season 26 Without the Roloff Family?

There have been no official announcements from TLC about the show’s future. However, the family has turned in their hats as they’ve publicly announced their departure from the show. Firstly, Zach Roloff and his wife Tori Roloff officially announced leaving the show on their podcast Raising Heights back in February 2024. Zach Roloff explained the reason behind their exit: “We are not coming back, and we made that pretty clear in the last cycle. This last cycle was rough between the family and the farm deal, and we’re done with that. We’ve moved on.”

According to Matt Roloff, most of his family members, including him and his fiancé Caryn Chandler, are no longer interested in filming the show. So there’s a high chance that the Roloff family will not return for Little People, Big World Season 26 if it comes to fruition. If that happens, is it possible for TLC to continue Little People, Big World without the family that started it all? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Matt Roloff’s Shares His Thoughts About The Future Of Little People, Big World

When the show began, its sole purpose was to show viewers what life is like for a little person in a big world. The storyline eventually centered around the Roloffs and their family drama, and they continued for 25 whole seasons. The Little People, Big World Season 25 finale came full circle with exes Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff reminiscing about their journey over the course of the show. This gave viewers the impression that the show had reached its final curtain.

Back in April 2024, Matt Roloff took to Facebook to share his thoughts. He revealed that by 2010, the family planned to end the show due to the strenuous process and its effects on the kids’ education. However, they continued the show through specials and a wedding-themed season before returning to the initial format. While most of the Roloff family has lost interest in filming, all hope is not lost as the Roloff patriarch has acknowledged that no one really knows if the show will go on. Plus, he teased the possibility of Little People, Big World specials, and spinoffs, and also hinted that the show could go on, but in a different format.

The Feud Between Matt Roloff and Zach Roloff May Have Been the Final Nail in the Coffin for the Show

Zachary Roloff

Little People, Big World Season 25 finale was a success across all boards as it came to a close on a high note. However, the relationship between Matt Roloff and his eldest son, Zach Roloff, might have played a huge role in changing the dynamic of the show. The feud began with Matt’s betrayal of selling 16 acres of the farm. Eventually, it all came to a boiling point when Matt offered to sell a piece of the land for an exorbitant price that Zach couldn’t afford. Both parties have opened up about their rocky relationship —  Matt Roloff even revealed that Zach and Tori Roloff stopped bringing their kids to the farm as a result of the feud.

Despite being on the show together, the father-son duo weren’t the same again as their disagreements over the farm strained their relationship and affected the family-oriented nature of the show. The feud is also the main factor in Zach Roloff’s decision to leave the show. He has also pinpointed his need to protect his kids from the intensity of reality TV as a reason for his departure. While the renewal of Little People, Big World Season 26 remains uncertain, there’s no denying that the hit reality TV show has had an amazing run.
