I don’t care who you are. I don’t care about your age, ethnicity, interests, or just about anything else that gives us a clue who you are as a person. If you don’t completely love the 1976 Abba hit song “Dancing Queen” then there’s something seriously wrong with you. Sure it’s a song that screams “I’m a woman, here me roar!” but isn’t it just the most fun? I know that whenever it comes on I’m proud to blast the volume and bounce around to it. It’s one of those songs where you just have to allow yourself to “be” and it’ll transform you into a better place.
That said, if you put a different twist on the song you never know what kind of greatness can result. Norwegian musician Leo Moracchioli, the same guy I featured here recently who did his metal rendition of Johnny Be Goode now performs a metal version of Abba’s 1976 disco song “Dancing Queen.” He plays all the instruments and sings, while the Easter bunny dances with his young daughter.
The whole dancing as an Easter buddy kind of throws me off but the song is nevertheless quite cool.
