Lindsay Lohan Announces New Prank Reality Series “The Anti-Social Network”

You may not have been paying attention but Lindsay Lohan has been off of film and TV for three years now.  Aside from that botched interview with Oprah Winfrey or whatever that was, Lohan’s stayed out of the spotlight.  But not anymore.  In the wee hours of the morning last night, Lohan put out a video on her Twitter account announcing a new show she’ll be the star of.   Lohan will be stepping back in front of the camera to screw with people’s lives.

As a self-proclaimed social media savant, the 30-year-old will secretly control other people’s digital accounts on The Anti-Social Network. “I love social media. I am social media,” she said in a teaser tweeted late Tuesday. “Everybody knows you should never leave your phone lying around–especially near me. I decided I’m going to hijack your social media–your Instagram, your Snapchat, your Facebook, your Twitter–all of it for 24 hours.”

So here’s my take on this.  I personally think this is right in Lohan’s wheelhouse.  There’s no need for Lohan to be an actress right now.  I think reality TV is the perfect spot for her.  Here’s the issue.  Can she stay on the straight and narrow?  I feel like being in a reality spotlight could be extremely dangerous for her.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the project is currently being shopped to networks. If picked up, it would mark Lohan’s first television project since Lifetime’s 2012 TV movie, Liz & Dick and her 2014 docuseries with Oprah Winfrey on OWN.

We’ll keep you posted.
