Kate Reinders is an American singer and actress who is best known for her performances on Broadway. She has an interesting history and we were interested in knowing more about her. Her family moved to Spring Lake, Michigan when she was still young, and she was raised in this area. She went to the Western Michigan Christian High School and graduated in 1998.
2. Broadway Beginnings: Understudy and Swing
Although Kate wasn’t cast in a regular role for her first Broadway production, she was there with the troupe. She was cast as a swing and an understudy for the roles of Becky Thatcher and Amy Lawrence in “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.” After this, she joined the Broadway revival of “Into the Woods” in 2002, again as an understudy but this time for the characters Rapunzel, Milky White, Little Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella. She would spend a lot of time waiting in the wings for her chance to prove her mettle.
3. Stepping into the Spotlight: First Starring Role in 2003
Kate Reinders was finally cast in her first starring role in 2003. It was in the “Gypsy” revival. She was cast in the role of June. After this, she was cast in yet another major role in the jukebox musical “Good Vibrations, in the role of Caroline in 2005. Her skills were finally being put to use and showcased in the same year she nailed the role of Glinda in the Chicago production of “Wicked.”

Kate Reinders went back to stage acting for a period of time and she was involved in several major productions. She is set to star in teh new series “High School Musical: The Musical – The Series” which kicked off in 2019 and is on the schedule through 2020.

We learned that Kate accepted a series of minor roles which began with her role as Beth in “While You Were Sleeping” in 1995. She briefly appeared as a female student with Liam Neeson in “Kinsey” in 2004, and in “Blind Justice” in 2005, “Transferants” in 2008, along with with “Teachers” the same years, and in several minor roles in film and television. She has actively moved between the world of stage acting and film and television without missing a beat.
