3. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure isn’t really new

Although not that many people from the United States have had previous exposure to JoJo’s it’s been around for a while. It made its debut in 1986 as an adaptation and long-running manga series thanks to Hirohiko Araki. The adaptation first appeared on Shonen Jump and there have been more than 100 million copies of the Japanese comics printed. It’s found its way into the US and is creating a positive stir.

4. It’s out in video games

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure made its way from the Manga to video games before it was adapted for film animation. Again this isn’t something that is new to the market. The games have been out for a while, they just hadn’t made it to the United States until recently.

5. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is offered in a lot of different formats

In addition to the four Anime seasons and several video games, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is out in other forms. It has been made into a popular comic book series. There has also been a light novel series created from the Manga.

6. The Manga is available to read

The Manga is an extensive work that contains a lot more information than the television animation. It’s fun to explore the depths of the story in its more original written form. Comparing it with the animation can give you a different perspective on the story. The adaptations contain some changes which are worth noting, but we’re not going to give you any spoilers here.

7. The Manga is expanding

There are already 8 parts completed in the long-running Manga series. Araki Hirohiko is still at work on the masterpiece. There are no indications that it is going to slow down or end anytime in the near future. There are thousands of Manga pages available but it’s always best to start at the beginning, preferably with the first three volumes.

8. JoJo’s will thrill you with highly memeable quality

The anime is wildly successful and this is thanks to Araki’s relentless imagination. There is a consistent lineup of new characters and the designs are nothing short of spectacular. The stories are told in quite interesting ways and there are moments that are forever frozen in the memory and these are the memeable moments.

9. It’s a complicated anime

Araki has brilliantly crafted the saga to create a series of interesting characters with intertwined and complicated relationships. He unfolds them gently as you go and there’s always a situation that leaves you hooked and wanting for more. It’s filled with vampires and villains that are so rotten that you actually form a sincere hatred for them, even though you know in the back of your mind that it’s just an animation.

10. Be warned about the gore

We’re not even going to pretend that there isn’t a ton of shock value in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. If you can handle watching a real jerk burn a guys dog to death then you probably have a pretty strong stomach. If things like this offend you then watching it could be an issue for you. If you can get past a few of these incidences then you’ll probably do okay with it.
