After years of art school, I asked myself, “Self? What are you going to do with all that great art history you spent years cramming into your head?” The answer was simple. Take my cartooning and turn it up a notch… and mine the fields of art history to let my family (and cartoon squirrel) know how much they mean to me. Ever try abstracting (ala Picasso) a squirrel? I’m here to say it can be challenging.
