Within twenty-four hours of becoming a dad, my brain was ready to explode from all the new, funny, and frustrating things that were going on in my life. Because parenthood goes by so fast, I started turning these memories into parenting cartoons (Instagram) and letters (blog) that I will one day give to my son when he is old enough to appreciate it…maybe thirty years later when he has his own kids?!
We’ve been having a lot of fun sharing the sympathies, struggles, and laughs from parenthood with others along the way, but I’ve also struggled with the moral dilemma of “sharenting” – sharing photos/experiences of my child on social media without his consent. I’ve finally come to terms with it, and have also decided that if I ever make any money from this project, we will donate all our proceeds to a charity (suggestions welcomed!) that will give other families the opportunity to experience joy and happiness as we have.

#8 Vegas
I’m still shocked and sad about the shooting in Vegas. It has just been one terrible event after another this year.
When I wrap my arms around Baobao now I find myself thinking I’m trying to protect him as much as I am just hugging him…and to me, that shift in thought is a sad reflection of our times.
Our thoughts continue to go out to anyone and everyone that has been affected by all these tragic events.
