General Hospital Characters Who Came and Went Just as Fast

General Hospital fans love their favorite characters, and we hate to see them go. When someone who had such a big impact on the way we lived our lives watching this show decides it’s time to go — or writers decided that they did their job and it’s over – we do find our hearts break a little. But sometimes, someone comes into Port Charles and doesn’t make a mark on anything. Oh, they try. They want to be the next big thing in Port Charles, but it doesn’t work for them. That’s when the writers decide that things aren’t working out and there is no reason to keep them around anymore — and we get that. Here are a few of the characters you probably don’t even remember because they were only here for such a short time.

Levi Dunkleman

First, a man with a name like that has no business in Port Charles. No one is taking that name seriously in a world where mobsters rule and people are just amazing at criminal activity. Maxie met him for a hot second while she was out traveling, and she quickly fell for him. He was….natural. He loved nature. He loved doing things the eco-friendly way (not that there is anything wrong with that) and he had zero place at all in Port Charles. He was a total disaster, he did not fit in, and he was a poor choice for her. So, she brought him home and tried to make it work. Spoiler alert — it did not work. Fortunately, he turned out to be a little crazy and upset with something that her parents did to a necklace a million and a half years ago, and he was killed. Then she met Nathan, and then things worked.

Arielle Ashton

Remember her? Yeah, us either. She was here back in the late 80s, and it did not work out for anyone. She was brought in on a yacht, married to Lord Larry Ashton, and no one was buying it. For one, who is a Lord with the name Larry? It doesn’t work for us, and so we probably checked out early because of that. But, the point is that she came in on her husband’s yacht with her title of Lady, and she tied right into the fact that her former lover was then hired to work on their yacht. Their not-so-clandestine former affair was then uncovered when she tried to get him to leave Felicia Jones, but it didn’t work for her, so she left town. It was a good choice for her. Stick around and try to break up your former mechanic and his lady love or move on to the next locale with your Lord in waiting on his yacht? If you can’t have the man you love, why not go with the one with a yacht?

Angel Sorel

She was only around for a few months when she showed up around here, and that’s because her story wasn’t all that amazing. She was here for a total of five months, and she did nothing by prove to us that she was nothing more than a bit of a love-lost woman looking for approval by just about every man in town. And while that works for most of the women around here, it just didn’t look right on her. She began a romance with Sonny, had another with Jax, and more. She showed up as the daughter of a man who hates everyone (Joseph Ellis) and she ended up killing him because he didn’t like her choice in men or whatever. She had some daddy issues back in 2001 when she was here, and it didn’t work out for her when she actually killed her father. She didn’t end up dying, but she did have to get out of Port Charles quickly or she would have to spend some time in jail for that little murder she committed. She couldn’t live with that idea, so she bailed on all that and no one has seen her since. In fact, we often wonder if anyone even remembers her at all from way back when after all that.
