Gangs of London will return with several new cast members to amp up the thrill for Season 3. With Peter McKenna as the lead writer and Kim Hong Sun as the lead director, the upcoming season will star Andrew Koji as a ruthless assassin alongside Richard Dormer as Cornelius Quinn—an old rivalry to pose new challenges for the Wallace. Other new cast members include Phil Daniels, Ruth Sheen, and T’Nia Miller as London’s new mayor determined to stop the gangs.
The action-crime thriller created by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery debuted in April 2020 and was renewed for Season 2 that June. Based on a 2006 video game of the same title, the series kicks off with the death of Colm Meaney’s Finn Wallace, London’s most powerful crime boss. His assassination throws London into a power play with the Wallace family struggling to retain control of the criminal enterprise.
Joe Cole As Sean Wallace
The English actor plays the younger son of Finn Wallace, who contends to lead his family’s cartel after his father’s assassination. Joe Cole’s career began at London’s National Youth Theatre. He debuted onscreen in 2010 and has showcased the range of his talent with performances in productions like Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror, A Small Light, and A Prayer Before Dawn. The latter won him the 2018 British Independent Film Awards for Best Actor, the same year he received the Tiantan Award at the Beijing International Film Festival. This was for his role in Kim Nguyen’s Eye on Juliet.
Sope Dirisu As Elliot Carter
Sope Dirisu is a British actor of Nigerian descent. He began acting at Bedford Modern School before joining London’s National Youth Theatre in 2006. In Gangs of London, Dirius plays a police officer who infiltrates the Wallace family and becomes a trusted henchman caught up in the activities of the criminal empire. Before the action crime drama, he had gained recognition with roles in The Mill, Humans, and The Halcyon. Sope Dirisu’s roles in His House, Mr. Malcolm’s List, and Slow Horses have also showcased the depth of his talent to a wider audience, solidifying his stake as an actor in the competitive industry.

Lucian Msamati portrayed the longtime aide and partner of the assassinated crime lord in Gangs of London. The British actor of Tanzanian descent has been performing since the early 90s. In 1994, he co-founded Over the Edge, a renowned Zimbabwean theatre company, and performed with the troupe in popular festivals across Africa, Europe, and the United States. Some of his acclaimed screen roles are in The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, The International, The Good Liar, See How They Run, and National Treasure: Kiri. He played Tobi Akindele in the latter, winning the RTS Television Award alongside a BAFTA nomination for Best Leading Actor.
Michelle Fairley As Marian Wallace
The actress from Northern Ireland plays a pivotal character that personifies Gangs of London’s violence — the ruthless widow of the assassinated crime lord. Michelle Fairley has been active since the early 80s. After decades of acting experience onscreen and on stage, Fairley gained the widespread recognition her talent deserved with the Catelyn Stark role in Games of Thrones. She has replicated the success in The White Princess, The Feed, The Gone, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Other notable projects of the actress include Suits, 24: Live Another Day, Resurrection, Crossing Lines, Rebellion, and Nobody Has to Know which won her the Best Actress Award at the 2021 Chicago International Film Festival.

Gangs of London’s eccentric character Billy Wallace is the older brother of Sean Wallace. He’s an addict struggling with substance abuse which alienates him from his family’s criminal enterprise. Scottish actor Brian Vernel portrays the character. He made his screen debut as Darren Naismith/Kevin McCorkhill in The Field of Blood (2011) and gained cross-border recognition as Bala-Tik in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). Vernel is also known for his roles in Let Us Prey, Dunkirk, Slow Horses, The Last Kingdom, The Tunnel, and Shardlake.

Before Gangs of London, the English actress was a seasoned performer, especially on stage where her career began. She made her acting debut at age 11 when she played Young Nala in a 1999 theatre production of The Lion King. Years later, Pippa Bennett-Warner had become a theatrical heavyweight with nominations for coveted awards, including an Ian Charleson recognition for playing Cordelia in King Lear. She debuted onscreen in 2002 as Gemma Webber in the “Leopard Spots” episode of Holby City. Her other notable screen roles include Roadkill (2020), See How They Run (2022), and Obsession. In Gangs of London, she plays Ed Dumani’s daughter, a single mom who falls in love with Elliot Carter.
Asif Raza Mir As Asif Afridi
Asif Raza Mir plays an influential drug lord in Gangs of London. A veteran of Pakistani cinema, Mir has been active since the mid-70s. He was born into an entertainment family and has devoted most of his life to projects in the Pakistani film industry. With Gang of London, Mir pulled off his international debut, earning his career the global recognition it deserves.
Orli Shuka As Luan Dushaj
British-Albanian actor Orli Shuka plays the leader of an Albanian cartel in Gangs of London. Before the action crime thriller, Shuka had gained decent exposure with roles in David Michod’s War Machine, BBC One’s EastEnders, and Lennie James’ Save Me. Shuka told AMC he was immediately invested in his Gangs of London character. “…I knew that this role would require me to step up my performance,” he told the publication. “I wanted to ensure that all the nuances and facets of Luan’s character and personality were apparent—and credible to the audience,” added the actor.
