If you recognize Pollyana McIntosh there’s probably a very good reason. Those that might recognize her from The Walking Dead are likely those that have seen her just recently, while those that recognize her from other productions could be those that are into the Indie scene and happen to know a lot more about the woman than many others. The diversity of her acting has been proven to be something amazing in the past couple of years and with her inclusion into TWD it’s obvious that she’s more than just a flash in the pan kind of actor.
Her emotional range is astounding.
5. She was born in Scotland.
She was born in Scotland but raised in in Portugal and Colombia before returning to her place of birth. In fact it was at the Edinburgh Festival that she started performing, and by the age of 16 she’d decided to leave for London and become an actress. Perhaps having moved about when she was younger created an itch in Pollyanna to see a bit more of the world and experience what it had to offer.
4. She became involved in Indie filmmaking at the age of 16.
This is where a lot of people that know her would probably state that they’ve seen getting used to her presence for some time. She’s made it into the mainstream obviously but when she was 16 she started out simple and worked her way up to becoming the sensation she is now. Obviously Pollyanna is one of those actors that saw something in the Indie scene that was far more appealing, or perhaps she wanted to use it as a springboard towards hitting the mainstream.
3. She had her first film role in 2009.
So to be honest she hasn’t been in film all that long and it seems to be that she’s still able to be counted as somewhat inexperienced. But honestly she seems more seasoned than a lot of people that have been there for a decade or more, so it could be that she’s just a naturally gifted actor. She certainly wouldn’t be the first and she won’t be the last, but that kind of talent doesn’t just come to people all that often.
2. She’s pursued a career in fashion as well.
She certainly has the look for someone that might go into the fashion business as in some ways she appears not attractive enough, but in others she has a quality that is alluring and quite enchanting really. To be honest it’s what might be called the ‘Uma Thurman’ quality, in which a female actor can look plain and nondescript in one light while simply ravishing in another. It’s an odd quality but Pollyanna has proven that she has it at times.
1. She plays Jadis in The Walking Dead.
This is where a lot of new fans would recognize her, as the silent but very deadly and untrustworthy Jadis, who’s fallen on rather hard times as of late. With her entire group killed off by the Saviors and her apparent understanding with Negan, it’s uncertain just where Jadis’ story is going to take her, unless you’ve read the comics.
Even then it wouldn’t be completely known since the creator has been deviating from the comics for a while now.
