Nicholas Stoller is a filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and director. He was born in London, England, on March 19. 1976. He began his career in the television industry in 2000 when he wrote the short television series ‘Undeclared’ and an episode of ‘Strangers with Candy’. Stoller wrote his first feature film ‘Fun with Dick and Jane’ in 2005′. Some of the work for which he is best-known are ‘The Muppets’, ‘The Five-Year Engagement’, ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising’. 1. He Has Lived on Both Sides of the Atlantic

Stoller is a British American who has lived on both sides of the Atlantic. Hewas born in London, England. However, he was raised by his parents, Eric and Phyllis, in Miami, Florida, along with his brother, Matt. He attended St. Paul’s high school, a boarding school in New Hampshire. He then attended Harvard College.

2. He is Married to Francesca Delbanco

Nicholas Stoller met Francesca Delbanco at a playwright workshop for graduates of Harvard in 2001. In September 2005, the couple married in a Jewish ceremony and they now have two daughters. Francesco Delbanco is also a screenwriter and an actress. She is the daughter of Nicholas Delbanco, a writer, and the granddaughter of famous cellist Bernard Greenhouse.

3. He Was a Creative Consultant for ‘The Lego Batman Movie’

Usually, Stoller either writes, directs, or produces a film. On many occasions, he has taken on more than one of these roles. However, his involvement with ‘The Lego Batman Movie’ involved none of his typical roles. Instead, he acted as a creative consultant. This 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film directed by Chris McKay and based on a story by Seth Grahame-Smith. Stars who provided voices for the characters included Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Rosario Dawson, Michael Cera, and Ralph Fiennes.

4. He Created ‘Friends from College with His Wife’

Stoller and his wife have had a professional relationship as well as a personal one. They created and co-wrote the Netflix series ‘Friends from College’ which premiered in July 2017. While Stoller directed all eight episodes of the series, Delbanco starred in three episodes playing the role of Sam’s therapist. In August 2017, it was announced that Netflix was renewing the series for a second season. Starring in this series were Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage, and Jae Suh Park. It is about a group of people who attended college together and their lives as adults in New York City.

5. He Often Collaborates with Jason Segel

On many occasions, Nicholas Stoller has collaborated with Jason Segel. They co-wrote ‘The Muppets’ in 2008. This was the first time the Muppets had been on the screen together for almost 12 years. The pair also co-wrote the 2012 movie ‘The Five-Year Engagement’, which Stoller also directed. The film is about a couple’s five-year engagement and the ups and downs of their relationship during this time. Jason Segel also played the role of Peter Bretter in the 2008 film ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ which was directed by Nicholas Stoller.
