Fast and Furious Fans are Tricked Into Taking Insane Surprise Stunt Drive

It was an “interesting” day for a bunch of Fast and Furious super fans who got treated to a surprise “drive in” screening of the movie Fate of the Furious.  In what was an advertisement for Xfinity internet service, two lucky fans were selected to watch a free screening of the 8th and most highly anticipated film of the Fast and Furious franchise.  However, that’s not all they were in for.  Things got a little insane when they went from watching the movie to being IN the movie.   Here’s a full description from the Youtube page.

XFINITY recently surprised a couple customers who are Fast & Furious super fans by taking them on the ride of their lives, and straight “into a scene” from the latest installment of the franchise, The Fate of the Furious. Watch them as they go on a furious ride complete with the same cars from the movie, explosive stunts and the same high-speed chase as seen in the latest film between Dominic (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez).

Directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass and Bad Grandpa) and featuring Stunt Coordinator Oakley Lehman (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Iron Man), Stunt Driver Ken Gushi (MotorClub, Pure Drifting), Picture Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy (Batman Begins, La La Land) and Special Events Coordinator Jim Schwalm (Ted 2, Transformers). The entire experience was shot live in one take. The crew rehearsed for days to ensure the two fans really had no idea what was coming.

I have to admit, this is pretty brilliant.  Check it out below:

Here’s the behind the scenes to the heart pounding prank.
