Disney Adds Baby Groot To Disney World in the Cutest and Most Delightful Way

Reviews are in.  Everyone loves Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the only question right now is when is this thing gonna hit $1 billion at the box office?  It’s already at $500 million globally so it could very well be by the end of next weekend.  Actually there’s one more question.  How much is the studio going to exploit the success of this film?  The only “mistake” the studios admitted to in the first installment was not pushing Baby Groot enough via merchandise, placement in the movie, and on numerous plugging opportunities.

There’s zero chance they much that up this time around but the question will be “is it too much?”  We’re not even close to that right now and Disney’s slow but surely getting Baby Groot into all of our heads before the explosion of merchandise takes place.  Don’t get me wrong.  The merchandise is already out there but it hasn’t been shoved down our throats quite yet.  Just wait.

One thing Disney’s already done with Baby Groot is quite adorable.   At Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, a new science fiction location has been set up inside the One Man’s Dream theater where fans can get pictures with both Star-Lord and Baby Groot.

According to Cinemablend

A new video from theme park blog Inside the Magic shows us the location for the Guardians of the Galaxy photo op with Star-Lord and Groot. Star-Lord is just a guy in standard Peter Quill costume. Baby Groot is, of course, something a bit more involved. He is a tiny audio-animatronic, standing on top of a computer console, looking like he’s getting ready to plug in a sound system as he does at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. There does appear to be somebody controlling Baby Groot directly as he is responding to Star-Lord’s statements with a multitude of infections on the standard “I am Groot.”
