Just a couple of years ago, our TV, computer, and mobile screens were bombarded with memes that said the ridiculous catchphrase, “Cash me outside, how ‘bout dat?” The uproar about it stemmed from the fact that nobody really knew exactly what was being said or what it meant. The meme came from an episode from Dr. Phil that featured a young girl, Danielle Bregoli, who apparently was troubled in some way. She was 14 when that episode aired, and that same year, she released a rap album that reached number 77 on a Billboard list. If that’s hard to believe, you should also know that fast forward to now, that same girl is touring the world for her music.
Call it what you may, but we might have created the monster. And if people thought she wasn’t too smart then, they should look at her now and realized how well she’s capitalized on her newfound fame two years ago. Whether the entire persona of bad behavior was acting or not does not really matter at this point. She found her window and took it.
With her stage name, Bhad Bhabie, Bregoli is starting off her international tour starting off with a show in Orange County this April 14. She’s set to hit some major cities in the US including, Boston, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, and a couple others. After that, she’s bringing her skills all the way across the Atlantic to various European cities including London, Paris, Amsterdam, and many others. She’ll be hitting a total of 25 different cities. While the reach may be extensive, the shows are supposed to be small–about 1,000 people per venue. We can look at that and say that’s not a lot at all. But for a 16-year-old girl who came on Dr. Phil’s show just two years ago because she’s feuding with her mom, you’ve got to admit that it’s not bad at all. Not bad at all.
This young girl may just be getting started. Two of her most famous releases, “These Heaux” and “Hi Bich” have about 140 million combined views on YouTube. That’s pretty impressive if you ask us. Bergoli may not be your cup of tea, but she is only 16 and things might change for her in the long run. For now, if you’re interested to see why people are even entertaining the entertainer, you might be tempted to go see one of her shows and see what it’s all about. There’s a chance that you might leave feeling differently about Bergoli than when you first walked in. Otherwise, you can just drop it and forget about her because chances are she probably doesn’t care what you think anyway. We are, after all, talking about the girl who wants to throw down every chance she gets.
