The world of movie weapons is both fascinating and extremely dangerous. On the one hand you think to yourself, “how awesome is this thing, wouldn’t it be amazing if it really existed?” Then you think to yourself, “wait, if this really existed that would be really really bad for the world, wouldn’t it?” I mean yeah, it’s cool to see these weapons in action in film, but in reality they could cause mass destruction and create wars so you know, that’s kind of bad.
But let’s not worry about that for now. Let’s concern ourselves with this amazing grappling gun that one cosplayer made in the confines of his own home. In a new episode of Make It Real, James Hobson a.k.a. the Hacksmith, has debuted the final test for his custom made grappling hook gun. Last December, website Nerdist took a look at an earlier version of this project. But the latest build is powered by dual engines with a combined 8 horsepower, which makes it significantly more powerful than the previous version.
