129 Cats’ Deepest Secrets Revealed On Felines Of New York

Humans Of New York, the wildly popular blog that features photos of random everyday New Yorkers along with some of their quotes, has one fatal flaw – no cats. Comedian Jim Tews has set out to solve this with his Felines Of New York (FONY) blog, where he collects photos of New York’s cats and writes introspective and meaningful captions for them, much like those often found on HONY.

Initially, Tews just took photos of friends’ and acquaintances’ cats, but when he opened a volunteer form for people to invite him into their homes to photograph their cats, he was met with unexpected success; “I thought nobody would be OK with that, but I ended up getting hundreds of responses in a fairly short amount of time,” he told Aplus.

Tews will be releasing a book with more than 100 cats and quotes in November that can be preordered on Amazon.
