They were two extremely different players. One was quiet, consistent and simply wore his players down. The other was fiery, inappropriate and frustrated the hell out of other players with his antics. In a sport that was never particularly known for outrageous personalities, John McEnroe changed the sport and his rivalry with Bjorn Borg is an integral part of Tennis history. In fact so much so that nearly 40 years later a feature film has finally been made about it.
Borg/McEnroe is a film about one of the world’s greatest icons Björn Borg and his biggest rival, the young and talented John McEnroe and their legendary duel during Wimbledon in the 80s. It’s a story about two men that became legends and the price they had to pay.
Here’s a first official look at Shia LeBeouf as John McEnroe and Sverrir Gudnason as Bjorn Borg in Borg/McEnroe, the upcoming sports drama movie directed by Janus Metz Pedersen based on a script by Ronnie Sandahl.
