Blue Lock is centered around Japanese soccer. After Japan’s national soccer team was eliminated from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the nation’s soccer union created a training program to create the world’s greatest egotist striker. He currently plays for Bastard München. Meguru Bachira

Meguru Bachira is one of the main characters in Blue Lock. He’s one of the 300 players that joined the training program. He was selected as part of the starter Blue Lock Eleven. Meguru Bachira currently plays for FC Barcha. Tasuku Kaito voiced the character in the original Japanese anime series. Rensuke Kunigami currently plays in Germany alongside Yoichi Isagi in Bastard München. Hyōma Chigiri

Hyōma Chigiri’s speed and exceptional ball control sets him apart from several other players. The red-haired player formerly played for Rakosute Business High School before joining the program. Shoei Barou

Reo Mikage

The purple-haired Reo Mikage joined the soccer training program from Hakuho High School. He was given Jersey number 9 after the first selection, where he played for Team V. Reo Mikage’s highest Blue Lock rank was number 6. He plays in Jersey number 14 in both Blue Lock Eleven and for Manshine City in England. Yuma Uchida, who voiced Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, voices Reo Mikage in the original Blue Lock anime series. Kamen Casey voiced the character in the series’ English version.

Jinpachi Ego

Anri Teieri handpicked Jinpachi Ego as the General Director/Manager of the Blue Lock program. He’s extremely calculating and methodical and centers his philosophy on player ego rather than team efforts. He single handedly designed the Blue Lock program and prides himself on the success of it. Although affiliated with the Japan Football Union, he dislikes its executives, who he feels are too money-conscious. 

He may not be in the field, but Jinpachi Ego is one of Blue Lock’s top characters. Japanese voice actor, singer, and narrator Hiroshi Kamiya voices Jinpachi Ego in the original Blue Lock anime series. American anime voice actor Derick Snow voices Jinpachi Ego in Blue Lock’s English dub.
