Yoichi Isagi is the protagonist in the Blue Lock series. He was a student at Ichinan High School before joining the soccer training program. Interestingly, he was ranked 299 of the 300 players enlisted in the program. Determined to be the world’s greatest egotist striker, Yoichi Isagi has worked his way to become number 1. He currently plays for Bastard München. Kazuki Ura voices Yoichi Isagi in the original Japanese anime series, with renowned American voice actor Ricco Fajardo voicing the character in the English dub.
Meguru Bachira
Meguru Bachira is one of the main characters in Blue Lock. He’s one of the 300 players that joined the training program. Meguru played for Namikaze High School before joining and was ranked 290 at the start of the training. In the first selection, Meguru was part of Team Z, then proceeded to Team White and Team Red. He was selected as part of the starter Blue Lock Eleven. Meguru Bachira currently plays for FC Barcha. Tasuku Kaito voiced the character in the original Japanese anime series. Drew Breedlove voiced Meguru Bachira in the English dub.
Rensuke Kunigami
After the first selection, the hotblood forward player Rensuke Kunigami was one of the players in Team Z. Not much is known about Rensuke Kunigami’s background. Still, his determination to be the world’s greatest striker has seen him dominate the field. He’s revered for his ambidexterity and finesse shot power. Rensuke Kunigami currently plays in Germany alongside Yoichi Isagi in Bastard München. Japanese voice actor and singer Yūki Ono is the voice behind Rensuke Kunigami in the original Japanese anime series. Popular anime English dub voice actor Alex Hom voices Rensuke Kunigami in Blue Lock’s English version series.
Hyōma Chigiri
Hyōma Chigiri’s speed and exceptional ball control sets him apart from several other players. The red-haired player formerly played for Rakosute Business High School before joining the program. Hyōma Chigiri currently plays for the Manshine City club in England. Soma Saito does the Japanese voiceover in the original series, with Aaron Dismuke as the character’s English voice actor.
Shoei Barou
Nicknamed King, Shoei Barou previously played for Akudo Academy. Although joining the training program and ranked at 250, he showed one of the quickest rises. His next ranking saw him rise to 18 and later became number 1. Shoei Barou was placed in Team X after the first selection. The striker currently plays for the Ubers in Italy as part of their starter team. Famous Japanese voice actor Junichi Suwabe voices Shoei Barou in Blue Lock. Matthew David Rudd does the voiceover for the character in the English dub.
Reo Mikage
The purple-haired Reo Mikage joined the soccer training program from Hakuho High School. He was given Jersey number 9 after the first selection, where he played for Team V. Reo Mikage’s highest Blue Lock rank was number 6. He plays in Jersey number 14 in both Blue Lock Eleven and for Manshine City in England. Yuma Uchida, who voiced Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, voices Reo Mikage in the original Blue Lock anime series. Kamen Casey voiced the character in the series’ English version.
Jinpachi Ego
Anri Teieri handpicked Jinpachi Ego as the General Director/Manager of the Blue Lock program. He’s extremely calculating and methodical and centers his philosophy on player ego rather than team efforts. He single handedly designed the Blue Lock program and prides himself on the success of it. Although affiliated with the Japan Football Union, he dislikes its executives, who he feels are too money-conscious.
He may not be in the field, but Jinpachi Ego is one of Blue Lock’s top characters. Japanese voice actor, singer, and narrator Hiroshi Kamiya voices Jinpachi Ego in the original Blue Lock anime series. American anime voice actor Derick Snow voices Jinpachi Ego in Blue Lock’s English dub.
