The Artemis Story on Arrow Will Continue with “Exciting Twist”

While the most immediate plot line that comes to mind on Arrow is Oliver’s quest to find a new Black Canary following the death of Laure Lance, there’s a new wrinkle that audiences are going to like.  As we know, Prometheus and Artemis are still out there, looming but that’s about to change.  If you thought that Artemis was just going to float through the show without having a pretty significant impact then you were wrong.

“We have a really cool, exciting twist for how she’s going to reappear,” Wendy Mericle teased to TV Line. “The interesting thing about the choices Evelyn has made is that as much as she took the moral high ground when confronting Oliver, she has allied herself with someone who is even worse. She’s gone from the frying pan into the fire.”

Who is she aligned with now?  And exactly how “bad” is she going to be?   Remember that Arrow suffered a big blow when Artemis was revealed as a mole working for Prometheus, but now that she’s involved in something far bigger (and worse) it should be very interesting to find out what.

In other news what do you guys think about having a new Black Canary?  According to Collider

When The CW’s Arrow killed off Dinah Laurel Lance, the Black Canary’s alter ego as played by Katie Cassidy, in an episode last season, there were a fair amount of fans who responded as though one of the story’s sacred texts had been violated. After all, you’d think a Green Arrow TV show would end with a Black Canary partnership, whether romantic or not.

The producers of Arrow seemed to realize the same thing at some point. “It’s hard to do a show about Green Arrow without having a Black Canary,” Executive Producer Wendy Mericle said in an interview posted at TVLine.com earlier this month.

I happen to agree with Mericle here.  This is just a matter of what taste you have.  Cassidy’s been solid and the show needs a Black Canary.
