Cardi B wasn’t having any of it when Angel Brings was being bullied on national television. Brinks, a Basketball Wives LA reality star, wanted to be a fashion designer. However, the other women on her reality show didn’t see it. They didn’t think the young designer would ever make it. They didn’t like her designs, and they did not take her seriously. Brinks felt bullied and down, and Cardi B came to the rescue.

Let’s take this back to 2017. When Cardi B was asked to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, she needed something to wear. It was Cardi’s first time performing on the show. It was a big deal. She knew she needed something spectacular, so she reached out to the young designer from reality television to help her. She had Angel Brinks design the outfit she wore that night. Angel Brinks’ Story is a Sad One

Things seemed to be going well for her at the time. She was married, and she and her husband welcomed their first child. It should be the most exciting time in a woman’s life – and her husband’s – but her husband was not all right. Bruce Sandlin, better known in the rap industry as X1, was the man Angel Brinks married. They’d only been married three months. She was nine months pregnant and ready to welcome her first son when she came home to find her husband dead. Technically, they were recently divorced after only being married three months, but they were still together in their home.

They were having a baby, and she, nine months pregnant, walked in and found his body. It was reportedly a suicide, but the rapper’s friends believe he was murdered by someone else, and the death was staged to appear as a suicide.
No Enjoyment in Birthing her First Baby
Sadly, Angel Brinks gave birth to her first baby while she was in mourning. Enjoying that time in your life is not easy when you are sad, depressed, and in a bad place. She was sad to see the man she once loved and who was about to be a father die. She was sad to bring a baby into the world without a father. Her son was born in 2007, which means he’s now well into his teenage years, and he will never know his father. He never had the chance to meet him before his death. As a mother, there is nothing more heartbreaking than being in a position where your kids are unable to know a parent.
Angel Brinks has had a rough go of it, but she’s always bounced back. She’s managed to have two more kids. She’s a good mom, and she hustles.
