Weeks after other networks have unveiled their premiere dates, ABC is finally letting TV fans know when their favorite series will be returning in the fall. It should not be a surprise that the alphabet network will be starting the season off during the week of September 25th like NBC, CBS, and FOX. Viewers will be treated to the 25th cycle of Dancing with the Stars one week earlier on September 18th.
Wednesday nights will look almost the same as they did in 2016, with The Goldbergs anchoring the night at 8 PM beginning September 27th. It will be followed by Speechless, Modern Family, and American Housewife (previously on Tuesdays). Designated Survivor will be back at 10 PM. Grey’s Anatomy will air a 2-hour season opener on Thursday September 28th. It will be followed at 10 PM by How to Get Away with Murder. Scandal will air its finally season one week later.
ABC’s Tuesday shows won’t premier until October 3rd. This is most likely to avoid the premiere dates of NBC’s super popular series The Voice and This is Us. The Middle, Fresh Off the Boat, and Black-ish will all be back for another season and will be joined by newcomer The Mayor at 9:30 PM.
