Auckland is a diverse community of cultures and I wanted to explore some that were available to me over the weekend. I was lucky enough to be in touch with the Sikh community and share in their celebrations. The beautiful thing with photography is being able to capture the emotion of the time, something that film making often loses because you cannot just stare at an image and imagine for yourself, it is all spelled out in a documentary style. 10 images from 35 selected, and 150 shot.

Coming from film making for over 3 decades, I want to explore the still image and what I can capture.
