Fear Street has been a franchise of more adult-oriented fear-inducing content leaning more toward slasher films versus previous R.L. Stine works that were more focused on younger audiences. Fear Street premiered outside the book series as a Netflix trilogy of films that each tells different eras of the same event. While the stories connect in several ways, between cast, story, and more, there can be some confusing elements between the three films. Below we’ve detailed the cast of Fear Street Part One: 1994 and other information such as where else the actors have been seen.
Fear Street Part One: 1994
Fear Street from R.L. Stine was quite the expansive book series, which started in 1989 and was still printed in different varieties in 2014 and beyond. Still, the original Fear Street series included 51 books, with even more spinoffs created since the release of the first book, The New Girl. Like most books with several different sagas, spinoffs, and more, as early as 1997, deals were being made over the franchise to create a Scream-like media franchise out of the books. Still, it wasn’t until the Netflix trilogy that it ever happened.
Maya Hawke
Right away, we’ll start with possibly the most familiar member of the Fear Street Part One: 1994 cast Maya Hawke. Most may know the actress from Stranger Things as Robin, Steve’s friend and co-worker. Interestingly, as noted by her full name, Maya Ray Thurman Hawke, she is the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. Maya Hawke wasn’t the only actress from Stranger Things to be cast in Fear Street on Netflix as Sadie Sink was also in two of three films in the Fear Street trilogy Outside of Stranger Things, Maya Hawke could most be recognized for her roles in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and her acting debut in Little Women, but can be found in the upcoming Netflix black comedy film Do Revenge, as a co-star alongside Camila Mendes.
Kiana Madeira
Kiana Madeira may be one of the lesser-known names from the Fear Street Part One: 1994 cast, but she has made appearances in television movies, streaming productions, and other projects since 2007. Some of her most notable works include the Netflix productions of Trinkets After We Fell and its sequel, After Ever Happy. Kiana Madeira was also one of several actors that portrayed the same roles throughout the entire Fear Street trilogy.
Olivia Scott Welch
Olivia Scott Welch, with fewer acting credits than Maya Hawke and Kiana Madeira, also appeared in every Fear Street film in the trilogy and has appeared in more television projects than films but has had different episode run lengths. Projects that Olivia Scott Welch has appeared in include Modern Family, Marvel’s Agent Carter, and the movie Shithouse. With such little work in acting from her past, Olivia Scott Welch may be most recognized for her unique role in Fear Street for some time.
Benjamin Flores Jr.
Benjamin Flores Jr. may have been an actor that was cast in Fear Street Part One: 1994, but he’s also known to others by his rap persona, Lil P-Nut. Benjamin Flores has been in some noteworthy projects across Nickelodeon with Henry Danger, Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie and Game Shakers, as well as film roles in Ride Along, Transformers: The Last Knight, and more. Like many members of the Fear Street Part One: 1994 cast Benjamin Flores Jr. appeared in the entire trilogy.
Fred Hechinger
Fred Hechinger was another cast member from Fear Street Part One: 1994, featured in some notable works and each Fear Street installment. Some roles of Fred Hechinger include The Woman in the Window, Kraven the Hunter, and more such as the first season of HBO’s The White Lotus and Maya Hawke music videos.
Ashley Zukerman
Ashley Zukerman has been in several television and film roles outside of Fear Street Part One: 1994, on top of him being one of the cast members with a role in each Fear Street installment of the trilogy. Notable roles that Ashley Zukerman has had include single episodes and leading roles across various shows such as Fear The Walking Dead, Designated Survivor, Succession, and others such as Australian projects early in his career.
Darrell Britt-Gibson
Darrell Britt-Gibson may be most known for premium cable projects on HBO, Starz, and Showtime, such as Barry, The Wire, We Own This City, Californication, and Power, as well as television and film appearances. Unlike most of the cast from Fear Street Part One: 1994, Darrell Britt-Gibson only appeared in two of the three Fear Street movies in the Netflix trilogy. Other notable works that viewers of Fear Street may recognize the actor include You’re the Worst, Keanu, and an episode of Shameless.Fear Street
